I like these places. You know the kind...dated, drive-up-to-the-door, '80s (or '70s, or even '60s) decor. They're (mostly) cheap, and you get a cheap room. But I usually sleep better in these places than the big-box chains. I really dig the shower; it's got tiled walls and a heavy-duty base. I can overlook little things like pieces of missing baseboard or a 30-year-ols a/c unit. I have a soft bed, the a/c will run all night (and keep me under the blankets), and I have taken a long, hot shower and am ready to hit the sack.
The room was the three queen bedroom making it very nice for the family of 5. The breakfast was very lacking. The hard-boiled eggs were half cooked and there was no options for gluten free cereal. Friendly staff and nice store across street for food
Rooms are outdated but had a microwave, fridge and TV. The plastic on one of the windows was cracked and has a big hole in it. Towels were way past their prime and the 2 pillows provided were flat. All of that you can look over for the price but the room didn't have a lock on the inside which is unacceptable for me. It's just a doorknob that you unlock from the outside with a key but no deadbolt or locking mechanism from the inside. Seems such a simple thing to fix for a cheap price to help people feel at ease especially if they're not from the area like us.
