This hotel has a lovely hillside location with nice views. Room was spacious and modern in design. I do not often recommend eating at a hotel restaurant but the evening meal at this hotel was excellent as was the local wine. There is also a small park like patio area located adjacent to the building. Parking at the hotel is limited.
This hotel is ideally located with nice views of the surrounding area. The rooms are very clean and have contemporary furnishings. The park like patio adjacent to the building is a nice bonus. I highly recommend an evening meal at this hotel. The food and local wines are excellent! Some scaffolding was still present (Oct 2019) but it did not impact on the view from my room. This property deserves serious consideration if staying in Berat.
We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel with a very garden to relax and enjoy a pre dinner drink.
Staff are very helpful and supportive special mention Angie (daughter of owner) and David.
Room 112 very comfortable and pleasant view. Agree with previous comment shower needs a shower or door to stop water from shower flooding the floor.
We decided to eat in the restaurant both nights as the food and service was excellent.
To all who read this review definitely consider this property.
The hotel can be wonderful but the extensive scaffolding and construction deters from fully enjoying the property and what you pay for. We paid for a deluxe room with balcony and could not enjoy the balcony due to the scaffolding and construction debris. We should have been informed.
If you have mobility problems, be informed that there is no elevator (lift). There is also a sewage odor in the bathroom.
Our room was very comfortable but there is no safety deposit box and no open electrical outlets to charge cell phones or computers without having to unplug a lamp, tv or hair dryer.
On a positive note, breakfast was very good with cooked to order eggs and cappuccino, expresso, etc.
We had lunch one day and food was excellent and reasonably priced.
There is complimentary parking at the property. Staff and owners are serviceable and amiable.
Payment needs to be done in cash...either euro or leke.
Initial impression was an awkward approach via narrow streets and lots of steps, some without banisters. However the location proved excellent and the rooms and restaurant soon overcame our concerns. The room and bathroom were fine. I often complain that lighting in hotels is too dim, this is the first time I have found the lights, if anything, too bright! This was particularly so as there was only one circuit, it was all or nothing. The only other quibble was poor soundproofing, we needed to use the earplugs we always travel with. Our room had a balcony that was obstructed with scaffolding. The evening meal we had was excellent, as was the breakfast. Overall would recommend.
