We stayed 2 nights, 1st floor in room 122..carpet very dirty, needs replacement. but housekeepers do a great job with what they have. Noisy with cars pulling out at 530 am. BUT I went to get ice and machine was not working in my building, so there was a sign that said go to lobby near front desk to get ice. Went back to my room and my key did not work. Now I have nothing on me, as I am locked out of my room. I walk in the door near registration and the clerk yells at me as I'm walking in-- "YOU have to wear a mask in here" very rudely. I said "you have masks behind the counter (as they keep them at the front desk as I had seen the day before". She said "Are YOU a player here?".I said "I am STAYING here." She whips out a mask and puts it on the counter-very curtly. I put on the mask, explained I have nothing on me, I am locked out of my room. She doesn't apologize for MY inconvenience of the key not working or say she understood why I may not have a mask on me. NO customer service, just explained she made me a new key. I walked away really ticked off and I will never stay here again. Front desk clerk, late afternoon on 7/14/2020. If they want people to return, they better think how they are going to treat their guests, but I will go somewhere else next time I am in Ely.
