Stayed over labor day weekend with 4 other couples. Well decorated and comfy. Each suite has a bathroom except #3 which is across the hall. Beds were very comfortable. The bedrooms are upstairs and the common areas are downstairs. Breakfast was provided each day we were there. There is a dock with seating, a fire pit and beautiful views. Everyone enjoyed the 2 days and would come back. Barbara was very friendly and helpful. There is a cat and dog that also live there, if that matters.
We were visiting friends in area and they had recommended the Lodge. We arrived after dark and their sign was not illuminated so we missed it . Finally found and were not disappointed. The room was nice though small and well appointed. The hostess was very graceous and helpful. The breakfast was standard, bacon, scrambled eggs and etc. Nothing fancy. The grounds are fantastic with lots of water sports available.
I came up here often as a child when my great grandparents live here. I came to the blue lake lodge as a young teen. I haven't been recently but when I was last here, it was so peaceful, clean, the owners/staff was so friendly it was like being at home. I see there was some renovations. When we stayed we shared a bathroom with other guests. The B&B doesn't have but 6 rooms. So no big deal. It also shared a library/sitting/living room. The area, lake is so pretty and peaceful, who needs tv. This is a very clean lake. Warm too. Check out the island while here.
