I LOVE this place! I've been here 5 different times now! It is clean, spacious and very comfortable! I got a room with 2 queen beds and a twin bed. The room was big and very roomy! The 2 different types of pillows is wonderful! 1 is firm and the other is soft! You can even buy a pillow to take home if you want! The beds were comfortable! The staff was very friendly and helpful! They even have a table where I did diamond art with my niece. Will definitely come back!!!

We were so happy to get a room booked at the Frankenmuth Motel. It was the last room available. We had a great rate for the evening ... it is close to everything, easy check-in, friendly staff and very clean room. Really couldn't ask for more on a quick one-day getaway!!! Nicely done!!!

We stayed at this property 3 years ago and again this past week. It is clean and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows were great! I regret that I didn't purchase a pillow before leaving. The room was spacious. Plenty of plugs for electronic devices. Plenty of towels. I look forward to visiting Frankenmuth again and will always stay in this motel. The price is appropriate. I have no complaints at all.

Their website stated they have pet friendly rooms, but when I tried to make a reservation on line, there was no option for pets. I called and spoke to a lady at the front desk who confirmed that their rooms were pet friendly, and there would be a $10.00 additional charge per night for a pet. This is pretty customary, and reasonable. I went back to their website and completed the reservation form. In the "Comments or Special Requests" section, I explained that I would have a dog, and had confirmed that there was $10.00 per night pet cleaning fee. We were staying 2 nights, a Monday & Tues during January (off season) and the rate on line was $39.00 per night, plus tax. The total charge showed $86.58. I figured there would be an additional $20.00 added at check in for a total of $106.58. At check in, I was advised that a pet friendly room was $59.00 per night, plus an additional $10.00 per night, per pet (luckily I only had one) The total would be $150.98, not $105.58.We had been on the road for 3 hours, and had no choice but to accept the "new price". When we got back from dinner and decided to turn it, When I pulled the comforter back, it had feces smeared across the underside! I actually screamed I was so disgusted. They offered to move us to another room, but it was 9 degrees out, we were unpacked, and had our PJ's on. When they overcharged us by $45.00 from the confirmed price, I would at least expect to not have feces covered bedding. The young lady at the front desk quickly brought us clean bedding, and was apologetic, but by then we were totally grossed out. I noticed that there was an envelope on the desk from housekeeping for tips. On the line where the person fills in their name, the maid choose to write in "busy" instead of her name...I assume too busy to clean our room.

I am sorry Christine that your rate and stay was not what you expected. I would like to explain a couple things about booking a pet room as well as the bedding for yourself as well as for future guests.
You are correct we are a pet friendly property and you CANNOT book pet rooms online. That is why our online room descriptions say NON PET FRIENDLY. We only have 5 pet friendly rooms because so many people are allergic to pets of one kind or another. The rooms we have chosen are not because they are worse than other rooms but because they are located between an end room and a storage room as well as near grass for easy access.
So when you called the Motel the Front Desk clerk did tell you the correct information, we are pet friendly as well as the fee is $10.00 per pet per night. This fee is on top of the room rate. We have a three tier rate system based on room type. Our Pet Friendly rooms are the largest rooms with 2 Queen beds. They do run more than a smaller 1 Queen room, but not because of the pet. Adding a Pet in the comment line of an online booking for a single queen room does not make it a pet friendly room. Therefore at check in we did need to place you in a pet friendly room, which has two queen beds, and is pet friendly.
As for the dirty bedding we have never had a situation like this in the 17 years I have worked here. I am very sorry for this and I realize that an apology was not enough that night or right now. Unfortunately the Front Desk’s only options to make your stay a more positive experience at that moment is to change your bedding or to help you change your room. The front desk clerk did have a meeting with the housekeepers that next morning to explain what you found in your room. They were prepared to change everything in your room and the Front Desk was also prepared to move you or refund you for an early check out. Unfortunately you told the housekeeper that you did not want housekeeping that morning when she came to your room so we did not have the opportunity to clean your room for your second night stay.
As for the Tip envelope, it is a generic envelope that has a blank line for the housekeeper’s name. Here at the Motel the name line is not used because we rotate our housekeeper’s sections each day and the person who cleans the room is the person that collects/keeps the tip. This means it would not be the housekeeper’s name that is on the envelope so we choose not to include any name. Thank you for your input on this and it is my pleasure to say that in December we did create a custom envelope and it will be without a name line.

I can't comment on check in/out as my father did all that, but I'm assuming it all went well as he didn't say anything negative. Parking lot-spacious, clean, good shape Exterior-looks pretty decent, for a motel. It's not the Ritz, so don't expect that. Room-clean, spacious, updated, pretty sound proof (barely heard anyone outside). Only part that looked a bit outdated was the bathroom. Breakfast-pretty standard; muffins, hard boiled eggs, toast, bagel, juice, coffee, donut, yogurt Location-close enough to Heritage Park, able to walk downtown (if you're up for a walk otherwise drive downtown & walk everywhere) but far enough away from downtown to have peace & quiet while sitting outside Definitely will return!!!

No pool, but parking is right in front of the room...I have no clue about Honeymoon suites....we've been married 45 years...LOL !!
The rooms are a nice size tho
Our room had a fridge,no micro, I have noticed on rd if the motel does not have these appliances in rooms, they always have some rooms with both for your medicinal reason
