Great location for a stop along the way to the Maryland shores. The absolutely huge mall is walking distance too. Wide range of places to eat from Mall food court, fast food and sit down. Huge Dave and Busters and movie theater for bad weather. Pool is a bit small but fine for smaller kids. Very clean.
I was very unimpressed with this hotel. When I checked in, the only bit of advice they had was that breakfast was from 7 to 10 on Sunday morning. When I got to the room, there was a channel guide and information on the soap, but no other information regarding any of the other amenities available (pool, fitness center, snack shop, ice machines, vending, etc). The curtains had a shear over them, but the main curtains didn't close, so when the sun came up, it came in the window.
When I took a shower in the morning, I unrolled a towel on the rack and it had a bunch of brown stains on it. When we went down for breakfast, most of the items were empty. They had baby western omelets, potatoes with peppers and onions and sausage. They had about 2 spoonfuls of potatoes and the others were empty. When they did "refill" them, they added about 6 of each. They had cereal, but were out of milk. They did have make your own waffles with 6 items that you could add to the batter or put on top so if that's what you wanted, it was great. The juice tasted weird (almost a spoiled taste).
It is located really close to the mall, Medieval Times, the casino, and Bass Pro Shops.
The location is what drew us to this hotel since it is near the Arundel Mills Mall and Maryland "Live" Casino. The "suite" to which we were "upgraded" was actually smaller than many rooms we have stayed in. It was a rectangular layout and not very easy to get around the furniture. The vanity is outside the shower/toilet area, which may be nice in some ways, but there was not enough space for a "his" and "hers" toiletry area. Very hard to get ready. The unit AC was either freezing if set 73 or below. Setting it at 74 actually kicked on the heat. The breakfast area was so packed during our stay over Memorial Day Weekend that there were no clean areas to sit down to eat. It was very unsanitary. If they knew that they were near capacity booking for the weekend, they should have staffed accordingly. There should have been an attendant to wipe down every table after it was vacated so the next person(s) would have somewhere clean to eat. I tried to read at the outdoor pool that opened for the season, but every so often you could smell natural gas. I alerted the front desk to check it out. The one thing that I will compliment is the shuttle service. We could not find a place to park at Arundel Mall so we ended up driving back to the hotel and took advantage of their shuttle service. It was a great service. Maybe a stay during a non-Holiday period is better, but we were very disappointed the 6 days and 5 nights we were there.
Good place to lay your head after shopping and going to the casino. Was pretty quite for being a hotel next to a large highway and busy shopping mall. The pool was closed even tho it was 80+ outside. Food was good, rooms where clean and David at the front counter was pretty nice.
Nice room. Nothing fancy but clean and spacious. Breakfast area was clean with many options. The pool had a nice setup. Location was great we were able to walk to Arundel Mills Mall for dinner so we didn't have to deal with parking. Hotel staff accommodated our check in needs. Staff were friendly and encouraging to our boys as we were staying there for a nearby baseball tournament. See you next year!
