We stayed here a few days for "Parents' Weekend" at Purdue. You know, that time when two-star hotels charge four-star rates because they can and other options are limited or non-existent.
Anyway, we were generally pleased with this relatively new hotel. The location is good -- it is among a group of low-to-mid-price hotels right off the freeway across from the Walmart-wanna-be. The staff was friendly and efficient. The breakfast was OK, and presented well, but nothing special. The rooms met our expectations for the most part. One nice plus was the complimentary laundry facilities, which we used to dry our sodden outerwear after walking about the campus, stadium, and surrounding area in the rain.
We noted a few issues. For example, the bathroom area tile looked like it was either installed poorly or not cleaned well. It looked stained and dirty. Also, our room faced the freeway, so, with apparently little sound-proofing, we had incessant road noise from the traffic outside. Further, we had reserved a King suite yet were given a 2-Queen suite, with no option to change. That was disappointing.
We may or may not stay here again next time we come to town.
We stayed here for a night this past fall for a Purdue football game. The hotel is brand new and loaded with amenities to make your stay delightful. The staff is helpful and friendly as well.
The breakfast area is large and there's plenty of seating. The rooms are huge. We were traveling with our teenage sons and it was perfect with 2 Queen beds and a sofa bed. Everyone had plenty of space. And the in room kitchen was really helpful too.
The only thing I felt was missing was an EV Charger (electric vehicle charger). We have an electric car, so it would have been nice to have had that at the hotel, especially since it's brand new. Luckily, there was a charger close by that we could stop at to take care of it on our way out of town.
Very nice New Hotel . Still has the new paint and carpet smell . Open for 1 Month .
The room was Very Nice Roomy , & Inviting . Good TV channel selection . The Internet was a little weak at times . The bed was very comfy. This next comment is not a complaint . The breakfast crew was training I think , for a modest group of people eating breakfast they seemed to be struggling to keep up . The food did taste good , sometimes a couple short waits for food to come out , or be refilled . All in All a very nice stay . Oh , the hotel faces I 65 so if your a lite sleeper ask for a room on the back side of the hotel .
We stumbled upon this hotel randomly as we decided to stop for the night on our way to Lexington, Kentucky. We are so glad we stopped here! We were a bit concerned being so close to the highway, but the road noise was nonexistent. The staff was very friendly. We stayed in a suite with a king bed and pull-out couch. The room was exceptionally clean. The kitchenette was stocked with dish soap, glasses, towels, cooking utensils, etc. The weight room was where I was the most impressed—fully stocked with dumb bells. It was the best hotel gym I have ever seen. The breakfast was another plus to our stay. They had a full breakfast with fruit, cereal, waffles, breads, muffins, eggs, sausage, and much more!
My family and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Lafayette.
