My husband and I are traveling back to WI with it 2 Granddaughters and stopped for the night. So glad we did as we’ve discovered another little campground to break up our travel days. Very well kept, flowers blooming, level sites, clean showers, refreshing pool, friendly helpful people and very reasonable prices.
You wont be disappointed if you chose this location for a stop over.....despite being right next to I74 as well as nearby train tracks, it's a very clean, pleasant place to stay.
Staff was friendly...Owner Jodi and her husband (apologize for not knowing his name,) are ever present and definitely stay busy.
Sites are nice and give you ample room unlike some where you are literally on top of your neighbor. Campground is very well maintained and clean. Small swingset area but no full playground. Pool is small but is super clean.
Would recommend this location if your in area and also just for overnight stay. Beautiful sunset and stars were very visible despite the lighting from I74 construction.
Passing on our way through Illinois stopped at Kamp Komfort for a night. This is located in remote area but great place for overnight stay. The grounds and landscape was immaculate and the pool area really nice. From review of their website I was not sure how this place would be but really nice campground!! We ate in that night which was good since not close to many restaurants. Great place for overnight stay! Price as $33.30 with Good Sam discount great rate for a clean nice campground.
We stayed here only because we were close to ISU for Special Olympics. We were greeted by the property manager and parked in the direct sun....and needless to say it was already hot enough. The pool was ok.... no umbrellas to shade you from the sun, the playground leaves a lot to be desired, the shower house is clean, but the shower heads didn't have flow. The direct hook ups were great but the water was cloudy...take your own filter! Can't cook outside unless you use a fire ring on the pad. The noise coming off the highway was loud and obnoxious.
Would I stay there again....only because of the pool so the kids can cool down after a day of competition.
This is a nicely kept campground. The lawn is beautiful, and the pool is always crystal clear and inviting. The sites a level and easy to pull in to. Everyone here is friendly, and the campers don't seem to be noisy. There is some highway noise, but using the motorhome fan made it a non-issue. The campground is about 10 miles from Bloomington, where you will find many nice places to eat, bars, entertainment, laundry facilities, etc. The owners and their children are welcoming and pleasant. The restrooms were clean and nice. The water is well water, so it that bothers you, bring your own or use bottled water. We do not have a tv dish, but there were enough channels from Bloomington and Peoria that we could receive clearly. We've been coming here for about 12 years or so, and will continue to stay at Kamp Komfort.
