This is a renovated Comfort Inn, however it is very poorly managed. The manager not friendly or helpful. The room was nice but the bathroom was a mess. There was NO hot water in the shower. The shower leaked all over the floor creating a very dangerous bathroom. The breakfast was awful. Staff not helpful about the hot water situation. I would never stay there again. There was snow overnight and there was NO attempt to remove snow for the safety of the guests. N
This property has recently changed from a Quality to a Comfort hotel. It is located far from the freeway and about a block off a busy street. There is evidence that it was an older property like an older entry door and elevator, but they have done a great job of renovation. Everything is fresh and new. Even the sheets and towels were fresh and new. We stayed in a room that actually had a kitchen area with a full size refrigerator and a dishwasher. It was as nice as any Residence Inn. The room and bathroom were spacious and bright. The curtains didn't quite fit the 2 windows in our room, but we managed. Our windows looked out on an empty lot and neighborhood, so it was very quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were pleasantly surprised with this property.
The general manager is not friendly at all, I was not a Guest, I was someone that may smoke in or damage a room. I didn't have a warm & fuzzy feeling about staying but I had been up since 3:00 in the morning working so I decided to spend the night , I will never go back, I think the person behind the desk at the time I checked in , the general manager, could have treated me a lot better.
We were traveling east from the mountains into Pueblo. Storms all around us. Tornado warning to the north. Being on motorcycles, we were concerned for our safety and our bikes. We looked for closest hotel to I-25 with a roof over the lobby door. Parked our 2 motorcycles under the covered front entrance. One bike on the right side (next to building) and one on the left side. We have stayed at many hotels during our travels and usually are allowed to park bikes by the front entrance for hotel staff to keep an eye on them. And of course to protect them from bad weather like this. After being in our room a short time, management called and said we had to move our bikes. There is no parking at the entrance. They stated a truck is trying to unload and can’t get through. We expressed our concern about the weather but they didn’t care. We asked if maybe we could just move them together on one side to take up less room. Manager said no. No parking at the entrance. We stated we picked this hotel just so we could park under the roof and asked if we could get a refund so we could go somewhere else. Several hotels in the area. Manager said they have a 24 hour refund policy so no, we cannot get our money back. Sounds like a dumb policy, since we were a walk-in customer and 24 hours ago, we had no idea we were going to be staying there. Grudgingly, we went down to move the bikes, and tempers flared and argument ensued. While we were in the process of moving our bikes out into the parking lot and my husband and manager were arguing, manager finally threatened us stating our bikes would be towed and we have 15 minutes to leave the premises. Obviously manager didn’t like us and we didn’t want to stay under the circumstances but without a refund it would have been a waste of money. We went back to our room and things calmed down but didn’t have a very restful night worrying about our bikes. Do not recommend this hotel especially if you are motorcycle riders.
Sorry to say this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. After a very long drive, we arrived at 11:00 pm to find construction dumpsters greeting us at the entrance. No where on the booking site was it mentioned to be under renovation. We were greeted warmly by the desk clerk but after that things continued downhill. Here is the list of problems we faced for the brief one night stay. 1. NO HOT WATER! We were told it should be hot soon. Never happened, not even in the morning when we left before 7:00 am. 2. Very dirty bathroom floor and countered. 3. Room smelled like old cigarette smoke although supposed to be a non smoking facility. 4. Old refrigerator sitting in hallway outside our door. 5. The elevator did not work in the morning.
Totally unacceptable and hope things improve at this place because I can’t imagine it getting much worse.
