Staff is friendly, room was clean. Dog-friendly hotel. Pool area is immaculate. The building was recently renovated and looks beautiful! I had to extend my stay by 2 nights because of car trouble and it just took 5 seconds at the font desk explaining it and it was no big deal--I even got to stay in the same room!
The good: The hotel was inexpensive and has been somewhat recently remodeled. The fitness center had 3 treadmills, an elliptical and sufficient space and weights to get in a workout. It was quiet
The bad: Housekeeping appears to be almost non-existent. I stayed 3 nights and my room was never serviced. I had to go down to the front desk on the second night to get more towels. The workout room did not have any towels. The trash can by the elevator was overflowing the second morning and still when I came back that night. I only had the free breakfast the first morning and I had just the bacon and eggs - mediocre, ate elsewhere the other mornings. There was no coffee the entire time I was eating. They had one carafe of regular coffee which was empty, the lady working the breakfast area took it in back and it never reappeared while I was there. There was some kind of lid to a dish on the floor of the first floor hallway back to the fitness center/pool that was there my entire stay that no one felt the need to pick up. Also, my room overlooked the parking lot and there was a bright street light. The room did not have blackout curtains, just a screen-like shade. I had to stack pillows on the bed to create a wall to block it out.
By far the worst hotel I have E V E R stayed at.
We were incorrectly booked (1 bed for 4 people, while the reservation was for 2 queen beds) and were told it wasn’t their problem. After paying $800 for a couple nights, I’d expect better customer service. WRONG!!! The rooms were never cleaned, our towels were never changed despite a direct request, front desk never answered their phone, “breakfast” was trash, pancake and yogurt machines were broken, water was falling from the ceiling as we were eating in the “breakfast area”, lights were turned off on my family and I as we were serving ourselfs “breakfast”, heavy-heavy scent of cig smoke in a nonsmoking room, ac not working blowing only hot air, TV not working and was mickeymoused to work overnight and were promised to get it fixed the following morning (never happened), pool was closed the entire time during our stay, WiFi was not provided, towels were very dirty (makeup stains from previous guests), holes in the walls, hallway smells like baby sh*t-mold-catfood, possible child labor (a 12 year old delivering towels to rooms), bathroom/shower essentials caused allergic reactions although advised as natural....the list goes on.
Please stay away from this sh*thole. Save yourself the headache.
Have you ever wanted to stay at a hotel that should be closed for remodel... but somehow isn’t? Then this is the place for you!
While the room was technically remodeled, it was done done so super poorly and quickly, with broken doors that barely open/close etc. The area is pretty sketchy, the pool was literally empty and falling apart, and the ceiling was missing in the hallway. Totally baffling how this is an actual Best Western and not some random off-brand hotel for half the price.
The rooms are newly renovated so clean working order, but the rooms feel stark because they have no carpeting but they do feel very clean. The AC is still a little loud as it cycles on and off, but the room temperature is excellent and the outside temperature was in the 90's when we were in Denver. The breakfast was outstanding. The eggs were perfect. The cereals were good, the yogurt was from a machine and quite tasty. Everything was clean. The beds were excellent. Plenty of hot water too, but the tub drain was very slow. Overall, a very good place to stay. The pool was under renovation. The wifi was strong.
