The pool has water in it but closed, no microwave in room, towels were as rough as a loufah sponge, air conditioner not working because the outlet was hanging out of the wall (but if you play with the trip switch, you can eventually get it to kick on and have to touch the trip switch to get it to turn off because controls did not work on the wall unit, the room has four sets of wooded slots on the window that does not block out the lighting from the parking, walls are very thin and you can hear conversations easily, and the breakfast consisted of two coices of cereal, 3 kinds of bread and a toaster. You would think after a full year of negative comments such as all those stated above would have been addressed by Howard Johnson marketing department. I do not see myself staying at any Howard Johnson in the future since they do not seem to be concerned with comfort and safety on their guests. Don't stay in room 136!!!
Good location(within walking distance to the Elks club) But over priced for the small room. Too much light coming in. The bare floors felt dirty. The pool looked dirty. Breakfast was in a small corner of the office.
Very cheap and in my book way better than most of the SF Whyndam hotels..... I must say if you are a whyndam member and can't stand the bad San Francsico Hotels and dealing with the big city craziness and prices and homelessness like me, it's worth a drive.... I give it a 3.5-4 Star.. its near SFO and blocks from 101 and 92 .... i also love the menu they have for room service if u want eventho I didn't use it....Pool was available and I was very impress for a $55 per night stay for me.
This place is awful. It's a motel that is run down, cramped, dirty and full of people with questionable backgrounds. The rooms are tiny, no carpets, pathetically small bathrooms with shower curtains that allow water to squirt on the bathroom floor. The bed itself is not bad, but I was stuck in a smoking room which was disgusting. There is a pool, which looked okay, and a free breakfast that is just cereal and bread like pastries.
The parking lot is cramped, and of course the elevator has been down for 5 years according to the front desk clerk, so be prepared to haul your luggage up to a room on the second floor.
Howard Johnsons was once a very nice place to take your family but this place is a shadow of the once proud HoJo empire. This is a place you would not be surprised if a bunch of police cars pulled up and apprehended someone from one of these rooms.
Sometimes you don't get what you pay for...this is one.
We stayed here 1 night as we arrived from SFO and then again 1 night before our 6:00 am flight home. Our first stay had no problems. However, on the return visit, we found lots of tiny little roaches on the night stand & in the bathroom. I informed the front desk & asked for another room. He said someone else had also complained about that room & the exterminators had come out & didn’t find anything. (Also, the ceiling was covered in water spots.) He offered us his last available room on the first floor in the front (next to a pool hall) with no air conditioning.
