This was a fabulous hotel. Very clean and the staff was so friendly and welcoming! Room was very clean and furnished nicely. Close to everything. Very convenient. Getting in and out of the busy street was very easy. I highly recommend this hotel and will use it again next year when I go back to War Eagle!
Had trouble with check in obtaining the 2 room suite we paid for. Multiple issues that were apparentlt to challenging for staff to resolve. Will not stay at this property again.
(Side note- super busy, noisy road in front. Ask for room at rear of property)
Arrived to find a friendly face at the front counter. Young man was friendly, efficient and respectful. Free cookies are GREAT! Happy hour at the bar was nice with half price drinks and free snacks! Room was spacious and clean! Bed was soft and sheets were soft. Plenty of pillows. Bathroom was spacious and great walk in shower. Water was hot and pressure was decent. Pool and hot tub were great and refreshing. Think chlorine was a little strong but not uncommon. All you can eat breakfast buffet was worth the $$ and you will be surprised by the quality. I will stay here again and have no complaints.
I reserved a room for one person with a king sized bed. When I arrived I was given a room with two beds. When I complained, I was told I had reserved my room through a "third party", and that that put me at low priority in room selection. A WORD TO THE WISE !! It took forever to get warm water to the bathroom, wasting gallons and gallons of cold water. The tv remote didn't work. The front desk sent up a maintenance guy who finally got the tv working. He said earlier guests must have sabotaged the tv. Small wonder ! Then there was the tv guide in the room which did not correspond to the channels available on the tv, requiring tedious surfing to find what one wanted. And of course the usual Hilton nightmare to log onto the internet. I had to take my laptop to the front desk for help. They struggled with the problem for a considerable time before getting me on. When I got back to my room, I found they had deleted all the networks that I use at home. There were only 2 paper cups for water, wine and coffee. The bathroom was above average, which is why I didn't rate this place as terrible. The next morning as I checked out, it took a long time to extract the general manager, Krista Dalton, from her hiding place "in the back". By that time I simply told her to look for my view. She seemed clueless.
Staff was polite and welcoming. Room was on the smaller side but clean and didn't look dated. Toilets (especially toilet bowls) can use some updates but nothing too bad.
There is some road construction going on so you will hear machinery noise at night but looked like that the construction work should be done in a week.
Breakfast was included for me as a diamond member otherwise is only $10/day/person. It was decent and nothing fancy.
