We enjoyed our one night here. The hotel is very nice, the rooms are large and clean and the folks working the desk were very friendly and helpful. Check-in was a little slow as the person at the desk was trying to resolve a reservation issue. After a short wait, the manager came and took over the problem and allowed the clerk to check us in. We were on the 2nd floor and it was nice to have a luggage cart to bring everything to our room in one trip. Breakfast was much better than most "free" breakfasts with sausages, eggs, biscuits and gravy plus the usual fruit, breads, cereals etc. We were very comfortable here and enjoyed our stay very much. The only complaint I had is that the shower head didn't work very well.

The room is out of the early 1980’s it’s clean but everything is at least 30 years old, the furnishings, the carpets, the moldy smell. You have to shower in the dark, The casitas as they call them are cleaner than a motel but I wouldn’t have brought my kids here if I’d known what we were in for, the mold smell is awful

We booked a room in this hotel to celebrate our granddaughters birthday. We were swimming at the pool no one else was in the pool area we had 9 people the hotel manager came in and immediately had an attitude yelling at members of my family. The only child was my granddaughter we were being quiet. Worst display of manners by a hospitality employee I have ever seen. The rooms are dated and not very clean. I will never stay at this hotel

SHORT STORY: I WILL WRAP MYSELF IN A WET BLANKET AND SLEEP BEHIND A DUMPSTER IN THE WINTER RATHER THAN GIVE THIS FACILITY OR OWNERSHIP ANOTHER DOLLAR!!

My colleague and I booked a room here through the Comfort Suites app. When we showed up at 5pm, the guy in line ahead of us needed another room for a stranded colleague. The clerk explained they had no vacancies.

We learned the hotel had us in a smoking room and stated no others were available at their facility or anywhere in town. We objected to the smoking room, which his non-smoking app preference should have identified when he booked it.

We took her at her word and checked in to see the room, which, to me, smelled and looked like a cheap, off-strip Vegas motel from the early 1990s. The room had shoddy wicker furniture, loose carpeting, and the smell of a well used ashtray.

We IMMEDIATELY called on our own and secured the last room in another Choice hotel across town.

Within ten minutes, we returned to the desk, checked out of the room because of our health concerns, and the clerk refused to refund the charge DESPITE having a wait list for rooms that night.

We learned the hotel did, in fact, rent the room that same night despite charging us for it.

Through multiple calls to the manager and owner over a two-day period, they still refuse to refund our money. I hope the one double-booked night was worth losing us as customers.

We stayed 2 nights in a suite. The person checking us in was very nice. We were told upon check-in that the Exercise room was not available. We were given a room on the 2nd floor. The room was clean, but in need of some repairs. The bathroom fan was quite noisy. The shower made a very loud noise that could be heard from the living room area during the entire showering process (we called for maintenance to see if they could fix it, but no one came until we were leaving our room on day 2 for check-out). We noticed fairly quickly that the remote for the living room TV did nothing to control the TV volume. We were able to get local channels with no problem, but most of the others were scrambled. There was a wood trim on the floor that covered the seam between the carpet and the bathroom tile that was quite loose. We had to re-position it several times. Our housekeeper forgot to leave us wash cloths on our 2nd night. The carpet in the hallway leading to our room was littered with stuff that could have and should have been vacuumed up, but it was there the entire time of our 2 night stay. I want to also add that this hotel advertises and recommends the Manor House restaurant across the street. Although it's in a convenient location, I would find another place to eat (food was not that good). I chose not to address any of these issues upon check-out, and I'm ok with that. The person who assisted me with check-out was not friendly. No "thanks for staying", "have a good day", nothing! I'll look for another hotel on our next trip to Safford.
