We arrived here after long flights from Scotland and were absolutely exhausted, but we had an extremely warm welcome - and it was just over an hour's drive from Cape Town airport. The room was gorgeous, beautifully decorated with everything we needed. The setting is stunning and the breakfast was perfect. The owner even came and told us he had spotted that we had left the interior light of the car on and offered to go and switch it off, as we were heading for bed. He also recommended and booked us onto a great whale-watching boat trip when we asked his advice about where was best.
We stayed a Sat night recently & thoroughly enjoyed all that Malayla guest house had to offer. Pictures were accurate and the room was a very decent size, with incredibly comfy bed. The bar fridge was useful too & we enjoyed the complimentary rusks, tea & coffee. So very tranquil, set on a quiet residential street, with the rear of the property facing a nature reserve. Breakfast was very good & staff really friendly. We were in room "Belinda" one of three rooms, and (for future reference) noted that Matilde would have the best views as it looked toward the pool & mountains. Highly recommend Malayla Guest House & will def be back!
When I arrived, I was extremely tired and looking forward to a good night's rest and the beautifully appointed room was the oasis I needed. I loved everything about my stay: from the warm welcome, the great quality furniture and fittings and the attention to detail. The kitchen is thoughtfully stocked with basics like tea, coffee, milk, condiments and I was provided with a lavish continental breakfast because my departure was before 8, when breakfast is served. Malayla deserves all the accolades. Compliments to the staff!
We where welcomed by Emmanuel who was very nice and had the biggest smile. Room was spacious and beautifully decorated. This Guesthouse is smaller with only 3 rooms and made us feel very special. Breakfast cooked to order and incredible views from our room. Would not hesitate to book again.
