We stayed here for 5 nights for our honeymoon as part of a Costa Rica tour. When we arrived, we were met with a beautiful modern room, bathroom, and kitchenette outside. There was a bottle of wine in the fridge for us, and coffee and water for the duration of our stay.
The pool is small but cute, in beautiful tropical gardens.
The Reception was so helpful!! They helped organise our excursions and transport, and we also rented their quad bike for the day ($60) to tour the peninsula ourselves.
The hotel is actually nearer Santa Teresa (5 mins walk) than Mal Pais, and this is a good thing: there are nice restaurants in the direction of Mal Pais but the majority of your time will probably be spent in the Santa Teresa which has a better beach and more choice of shops and restaurants.

If I had to mention one thing, it would be that there is no bar or anything at the hotel so it’s just something to be aware of. Maybe that’s a good thing as it’s a lovely place to come back to after a day at the beach and a few cocktails! :-)

This hotel has lovely lush grounds, appears well tended and is quiet, away from the hustle/bustle, filth, noise and inattentive drivers which makes up Santa Theresa. Pool area is lovely though small. Also room (#5) is small but adequate, my issue is room dark and lush vegetation made me feel hemmed in. This is a personal feeling but if you suffer similarly keep this in mind. Note also there is no restaurant on site but there are within walking distance.

This is not a place to rest, if you are looking for a place to spend a party night with loud music and noisy people, then you want to book in this place. They give you a set of rules in which they say it is not allowed any kind of activity that interrupts other guests' right to rest, but the useless staff does nothing to help with this rule. The room is fine, but do not come here if you want to get away from your daily rush in the city... this is a place to NEVER come back.

The little cabinas with outside kitchen are just fantastic. My friend and I stayed there two nights and really appreciated our stay. The room are clean. The garden grounds are very nice and the pool is clean and inviting. The staff is nice is helpfull. You are at a 7 minutes walking distance to the beach of Malpais. The only downside was the shower which was broken and barely worked. Hope they fixed it by now for the next customers.

We rented one of the studios for a week. It had plenty of room for two, a comfortable bed, good size bathroom with a walk in shower and good AC. The area outside the room was perfect for having your morning coffee, whipping up a breakfast omelet or cooking a dinner meal. Daily Housekeeping was excellent. The pool was a few steps away and was a real oasis after the beach. It's a short walk to the beach and similarly close to the shops and restaurants. With toucans and monkeys as your neighbors I'd give Oasis a solid four stars.
