I have stayed in Gurung guest house Tinchuley during Dec end, 2019 for two nights.
1. I booked their highest cost Super Deluxe Cottage -1 @ 1st floor. Room was huge with all facilities you can think of.
2. Cleanroom with huge bed.
3. Have Gyser
4. Have a room heater as it was very cold during Dec
5. Lot of places to see nearby.
6. Staffs are really awesome in behavior . Mr. Gurung is the owner. Really helpful
7. Evening snacks was great and the complementary tea was awesome
8. Lot of time you will see cloud is touching you if you keep your window open or go outside.
9. In the office front room, you can sit play guitar with great decoration. My son using it for long
1. View from the room is not there
2. Me & family did not liked the food quality somehow. Its personal choice.
3. Somehow I was not fully satisfied as I paid Rs. 4720 for that room/night. Except the room and Mr. Gurun’s awesome behavior I did not liked much if I compare with the price I paid
Overall satisfying stay. I cannot complain much.
Excellent property. Room service needs little improvement.most important thing is I visit mountain s primarily because of the warmth and friendly gesture of the mountain people. However Mr. Dipendra Gurung was perfect as the manager or whatever he is but he lacked warmth. Appeared to be too professional to me. Met Mr Gurung on my way back. He was a delightful man.
Literally a setting for Led Zeppelins 'Misty Mountain Hop' from their 1971 Zoso album.
This is the place you need to come to recharge yourself from the daily chores of the world. Dipendra is a truly hands on hotelier who looks after the guests like his own family members. The dining room should be renovated as it is quite shabby in places and the wash basin also could do with a change. The food is amazing - home style served with absolute warmth and care. Would help if there is a nearby liquor shop as it is the only thing to do after dark. Highly recommended and all the best.

So Tinchuley is just around an hour and half from darjelling and a place to be for those who loves nature and likes to be in the quiet of mountains and forest. A place where you can rest, with some moderate sightseeing options.
Not many homestays here as its an offbear destination and its good its that way.
Gurung Guest House is the best property I found here and evidently so as its a Homestay with extremely warm hosts.
Mr Gurung and his family members (each of them) are so warn and freindly that you will be overwhelmed with it.
Even the staffs are always smiling and help you out.
The rooms are bery clean and well maintained. You get all basic ammenities here and water was never a problem here.
There isnt any restaurants around.Basicallyvyou wat in the homestay only at reasonable and quite affordable rates where you get morning tea, breakfast, lunch, evening tea and dinner as a package.
The food is very homely but you will love it.
They even have their own dairy from which they make ghee and dairy products.
Their own chillies and veggies and acchars.
Food will not be a problem..If you ate a vegan, mention it to them ehen you book.
The view from the Double Bed Room is the best and its the cheqpesr option. The other rooms are more on the comfort aspect.
However the double bedroom is comfortable aswell with the view..
It wont be a problem in terms of comfort in there.
Take a walk in and around the place.
There is a view point around 400-500 metres walk, a monastery, a cave( not always accessible and is a climb). All this by foot.
Local sightseeings can be arranged by them.
They also give Pickup/Drop facilites from NJP/Bagdogra/Darjeeling at good rates.
All age groups can go to this place to be amongst nature.
