The hotel is beautiful and some of the better rooms are very nice. But I was disappointed with my "standard basic" room (virtually no natural light) and saw similar rooms for less than 1/3 the price at some other places in town. No internet anymore (although some guide books say there is). They stopped because of viruses rather than learning about virus control software.

Australian hostess seems chronically depressed, not at all warm, friendly, or helpful like most Australians or most Indians you will meet in Bundi. Not rude or anything like that, just not very warm or welcoming. I haven't met the Indian co-owner.

Bundi is a wonderful place, a great break from the big cities (no hassles and lots of friendliness) with much of interest to see, mainly just the life on the streets.

If you can get one of the better rooms and your budget allows that, it's a fine place to stay overall.

I stayed here for one night on the last week of my 6 week journey. Without a doubt, this was one of the nicest hotels I stayed in. The owner , Salim, has a art/handricraft export business and his hotel is a wonderful extension of this business...the hallways, rooms and common areas are a beautifully and tastefully decorated with interesting art pieces...nice attention to detail at this hotel...aesthetically appealing!
The rooms were spacious and CLEAN with quality linens and furnishings. Our room had a sitting nook with a great view of the Palace.
The restaurant had good food at reasonable prices....although the rooftop is not really set up for restaurant use at this time, they went to alot of effort to get meals up there to us. Great views & sunsets from here!
From what we saw in Bundi, I can easily say this is the nicest choice of all the hotels.

Bundi is afriendly little, non touristy, town without the usual tourist garb for sale.
We also heard that the red faced monkees at the Palace were threatening and opted not to visit.

Its well sited, within easy walking distance of the palace/fort. Room was fine, albeit with thin curtains. Electricity off in the morning, exactly as we were told it would be. Hot water, nice shower etc. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Actually all very pleasant.

Breakfast was fine. Evening meal was the worst we ate in Rajasthan, everything tasted the same, and not a very nice taste either - eat elsewhere.

When planning to visit a relatively out-of-the -way town like Bundi, you do it on the basis that hotel standards are unlikely to reach the peaks of thos ein larger more travelled locations.

Nevertheless our first glance at this hotel said to us that we should no be here. From tacky reception to derisory lounge to a restaurant that consisted of a few bare tables with no sign of action meant that out room wasn't much of a surprise. No hot water to the sink; a shower that wouldn't send water more than a few inches from the wall, a leak which meant we had to turn off the cold water by a secondary tap to avoid a puddle on the floor. Sorry, not for us. We found somewhere better and moved out. We were told that in the past the Haveli had been a good. well-managed hotel. Well not any more it seems. Avoid.

One of the best hotel found in our trip in Rajasthan. Very beautiful inside and the room was very nice and clean. Even the restaurant is very nice and the food was good. It has also few spaces for relax after lunch/dinner
