Write a reviewI was stayed in kaani lodge from 2nd December to 7th (only reason I stayed there is because we paid for whole stay before we check in ) room is so tiny . banket was smelly . AC was sooooo loude . it's like an engine . ughh couldn't sleep at all. no bed side lamp or light to use at night. for two adalt only two pillow which was like a piece of wood . and the worst part is , when you come from outside every time room is so hot. they cut the electricity. I mean seriously we paid so much to see this . it's was my birthday and ruined it . never clean the room . will never go there anymore. I don't recommend this place at all.

The only advantage to this hotel, is that it is near the Airport Ferry.
Rooms were quite dirty. Room furniture in bad condition. Service not up to standard. We advised that that we had to leave early in the morning for the airport, and that we would like breakfast at 06:30. After waiting for over 45mins we were served breakfast. we had 5 mins to eat before we had to leave for the airport. only plus side, we only had to stay one night

I booked Kaani lodge for one night on our way from Sri Lanka to the Maldives.
Kaani Lodge is a small hotel in a narrow street in Male City. It is clean, quiet and compact. Breakfast is maldavien, egg, toast, sausage (typically chicken). The room would be too small for more than a night.
We have booked the same hotel for the return journey and are happy to go back.
Unless you really way to be in Male, then an airport hotel would be better.

I had been for two nights in this place (I can't call it "hotel" or similar). It's absolutely overpriced (I paid 65$ per day taxes included) but the real price for this modest place should be no more than 25 or 30$ including taxes. Why? Well :
a) The hotel has not lift (and the breakfast is served in the 5th floor)
b) Internet only works in the ground floor. If you are lucky maybe you can receive a weak signal in the 1st.
c) Kaani Lodge is located in a dark alley with the only supposed advantage that is near the airport ferry terminal (not relevant in a city where the highest taxi ride cost less than 3$)
d) The small tv in my room (202) was ( of course) out of order.
e) The floor in the entrance of the bathroom was broken being a danger for the feet.
d) I was there for two days, and they didn't clean up the room.
So this place is absolutely not recommendable.

Room - The room was clean and spacious enough for a maximum of two people with a small TV and a dressing table.
NOTE - If you need WiFi it's only available on the first floor :)
Washroom - The washrooms were clean but I do advice that you take your own toiletries and your own towel. The water pressure is good and the hot water works!
Food - I only had breakfast during my stay there as I was mostly travelling during the rest of the day. Breakfast was simple with three slices of toasted bread, a fried egg and two Sausages with butter and jam.
Staff - The staff were very nice, friendly and helpful.
Not a bad place to stay if you're on tight budgets and there's absolutely nothing to complain about for the price paid.
