Location: at the Kotoden Takamatsu Chikko, the Seto sea ferry port and also at the end /starting point of airport bus (sister hotel JR Clement Hotel). On my way back to the airport, passengers on later stations with large luggage were refused boarding the bus (as the trunk was full). There is also 711 on ground floor = best hotel choice for island hoppers and airport bound travellers .
Room: very new with comfy mattress and bedding. The semi double bed was also wide enough to accommodate 2 people (many older Jap hotels will need to sleep on top of each other). While the rooms are larger than most Jap hotels (had a hallway wide enough to open large luggages), the toilet was still a tight squeeze. The big bathhouse on the 9th floor offers spectacular views of Takamatsu port and Seto sea, go at sunset.
Staff were very efficient and friendly, and can provide travel tips while you enjoy the complimentary coffee at the 2nd floor lobby.
This modern hotel is conveniently located opposite the train station ans near shopping malls and the caste.
The room is small but bright, modern, clean and in good taste. Bed is comfortable but the pillow is not. Tiny bathroom with an even tinier bath. But the shower had good pressure.
Staff were professional and check in and out took seconds (especially check out with this new modern system that I hadn't seen before).
Breakfast was Japanese style.
free WIFI, nice big flat screen TV, easy to control lighting system in room.
The Hotel also has a public bath (I did't try it out).
Excellent location take by JR station (walk by 3 mins) or going to ferry (walk by 3 mins for ferry 3 & 4 and 5 mins for ferry 1 & 2). Great view from room and model. Best for traveler and self cleaning service is provided.
Very quiet and clean hotel. The staff are excellent and helpful. The cheapest breakfast option was relatively light but tasty. It is served in the cafe (named ‘Pronto’) next door to the hotel. Our twin room had fantastic views of the bay and monument areas. Would recommend.
Be sure to book a room at the JR Hotel Clement and not the Inn. I booked a non-smoking room and they put me in a smoking room. Wouldn't help or accommodate me and told me there were no non-smoking rooms available. The JR Hotel Inn is not a nice place to stay.
