We stayed at Khem villas with our two kids, for 3 nights at their cottage overlooking the small pond.
The hotel is very well maintained, very clean sheets and rooms.
They only serve Veg food, with set menu, but we really enjoyed the food as everything is made fresh and mostly grown from their in-house organic farm.
The staff was very accommodating, made us feel very comfortable. They made sure all our requests were catered to. They even went out of their way to prepare Dal batti churma for us on special request.
One of the staff gave us lot of information about the tigers and other stories of the jungle and kept the kids engaged and interested every evening in the properties beautiful sit out where they have bonfire every evening.
The pool is small and more like a plunge pool just to sit and relax in.
Overall great property, friendly staff and an amazing experience.
Highly recommended.
So wished we had booked more than a two night stay at Khem Villas, not only to do another tiger safari but also to walk around the surrounding countryside - pure bliss.
We stayed in one of the tents and it was unexpectedly luxurious. Large bathroom, hot water, comfortable beds and the hot water bottles at turn down were wonderful ( and appreciated).
Resort is beautiful- well laid out, lovely peaceful havens including a small pool, fire pit for evening drinks with fellow guests.
Food is vegetarian and as a keen carnivore I thought I would struggle but it was more than adequate, in fact delicious at times.
Meal times at this time of year can be cool and they provide charming charcoal burners by each table for comfort but warm clothing is needed.
The Khem team are very professional and friendly and they go out of their way to make your stay special - we cannot fault them.
Even an incorrect wake up call at our tent with tea and coffee was funny and appreciated at 05.55am.
Tiger Safari
We went on two safaris - a morning one and an afternoon one on same day. Morning one is cold - hat and gloves needed in Feb, although Khem also provide a warm blanket and hot water bottle - blissful !!!!
We actually got to see tigers on both trips but they were from a distance however apparently we were fortunate, sometimes you may see none and sometimes you see great close ups, we certainly were not disappointed with the trips, we had a Gypsy Land Rover type vehicle seating 6 people ( definitely the best option) - guides were excellent- lots of wildlife and beautiful scenery.
We really will return and do again sometime - thank you Khem Villas

Wonderful family stay at Khemvillas. We stayed in the main house. Large rooms with bay window reading nook, en-suite bathroom. Clean, comfortable and excellent service. There are also villas and tent accommodation which overlook a large lake. There is a pool but too cold in winter. There is a bar area overlooking another lake with resident crocodiles. Little touches like hot water bottles at night and on safari along with blankets and provisions puts Khem villas into a class of its own. Resident naturist to help with any wildlife queries. Father of current owners was prominent in Tiger rescue in India. They show a video on preservation of natural environment and tiger programs. Rare to tick all the eco boxes in India. The delicious vegetarian food at khem villas is organic from their own farm. Lettuce picked at 11am for lunch. They provide all meals in dining room. Very ethical and eco friendly ( no plastic) Clean water is in metal bottles. Campfires and stargazing through telescope at night.Highly recommend even though we didn’t see a tiger on our safari.
We wanted very much to enjoy this hotel but it was not a good fit for us. The rooms were tiny and the bathroom very outdated. The hot water was limited to certain hours, which was very difficult, especially since it was freezing outside and we needed showers to heat up. ALL meals are served outside ONLY. This is unfair to guests in the winter. Walking by the "pool" it is not really a pool.. more like a large "hot tub size" cold pool. The staff was very nice and the atmospher was lovely. But this is not for everyone, and I recommend reading the reviews carefully before booking here.
Ushaji has curated this place just like her home. Well situated away from the tourist hubs, it is in he tranquil of the forest and national park itself. It is easy to spot a variety of birds, peacocks, even tigers and leopards sometimes. I feasted on their delicious, organic home cooked meals (inclusive in the stay) and woke up to the chirps of birds as if really staying in a forest. The rooms are cozy ad comfortable and their staff is super friendly. The resort also has nice sitout areas and a plunge pool to enjoy the nature.
