this is the best hotel I stayed while my journey in Kashmir. I suggest stay there atleast 2 nights during your visit.

Few suggestions:
1. Please change the cartain of the toilet. We don't want to compromise our privacy.
2. Also please add water heater in every room. Cause it takes long to get the hot water you have to wait for 3 to 4 minuets.

(This is not the negative comment, it's just a suggestion)

Every thing else is just superbbbbbbbbbbb.....
Location is just wonderful....
Sikara ride with Farukh their own sikara boy is unforgettable......
Their food, it's too yummy and finger liking.....
I don't know what else to say.... I don't have word for them.....

Hotel DES was as exclusive as it can get...breakfast served (on request) on the sprawling sun drenched lawns ,under the shade of the weeping willows and dozens of sparrows for company!I couldnt think of better ambience to spend a well relaxed morning. The service is efficient and unintrusive - so you can keep gazing at the amazing views of the Nigeen lake with its unspoilt charm. Our room was on the ground floor had the largest windows so the we had an uninterrupted view of the lake and the magnificient mountains behind. If we had walked only 10 steps blindfolded out of our room we would have surely landed into the lake!Apart from its location the food was pretty good and the the staff welcoming--what more could one ask for?

Last month we decided to go for a long trip to Kashmir, Srinagar. We were a group of 12 people of family around. We booked a Kashmir package from Antilog Vacations , after much research , who arranged our stay in srinagar, gulmarg, pahalgam with car sightseeing etc.The travel agent gave us good rates & also arranged for 1 nt stay in houseboat.

Four rooms for our three nights stay at hotel dar es Salam were majestic. The hotel looks very beautiful. We really got enthralled by the scenery and this was the best place we hv ever visited in our life. Our rooms were modernly built. It’s ranked 1 out of 69 hotels in Srinagar for a reason. It’s located in the vicinity of peaceful and serene nageen lake.

Our rooms were spacious and the ceiling was in wooden and the wall was painted in white color, it looked very pretty. Well decorated with modern amenities. The room windows r very well annointed. We feel like staying at home. The rooms are very comfortable with a huge bed and we three stayed in one room without any disturbance.

The views from the windows are awesome, gorgeous showin very naturalistic scenery. The garden was very well maintained and one can sit and get relax with a gang of friends and make a great fun. We spend our whole day in garden. The dining room KHASA offers the delicious mouth watering variety of buffet foods. We had Indian items which make us feel heavenly taste

. The service is good. The staffs is very friendly and they are young too and do their job perfectly .They too enjoyed with us without wringing their face. First time we visiting this beautiful palace with all the facilities what we expected to need.

Highyly recommended.

We were there for 2 nights last week for our wedding anniversary and I must say that it was one of the wisest decision to stay at Dar-Es-Salaam. The place has a beautiful and large garden with spectacular views of the lake and the fort. We even got a free upgrade to a lake view room when the hotel manager learnt that it was our anniversary. The staff was very polite and courteous and went that extra mile to accommodate us. The food was amazing as the hotel had a king size buffet with yummy Kashmiri and vegetarian food. Great hotel! Great location! Great Staff!

This is a hotel better than taj and lalit. Beautiful rooms, great food and what location. Would have loved to stay here for longer but had booking only for 2 nights. The staff is super courteous and gies out of the way to make you at home. Try for room number 12, it had lovely view of lake.
