5 stars hotel , room is very clean and restaurant is very clean and the food very good lots of variety .The beach bar staff is very good but the quality of drinks its average need some improvement . the room servic need more attention .
We have recently returned from a very nice holiday in the Sunrise Romance, Sal hashesh. The hotel is situated in a superb bay with wonderful beaches and great flat walking. Not to be mistaken for main town Hurgahda, Sal Hashesh is not comercialised. (no McDonals etc.) and more suited to mature visitors.
The hotel is in two sectins - the new part is further from the beach but very modern. Lovely bedrooms and bathrooms with a pool between the two buildings. The older part in some areas is in desparate need of renovation, which I am pleased to say had started while we were there. This part also includes the restaurant and the a la cartes,- .booking for these can be a bit "hit and miss" so we only tried the fish restaurant. When the renovations are complete I am sure the standard will certainly come up to the 5star expected. At the moment I can only give 4 1/2.
All staff we found were friendly, charming and eager to help. Those that stand out are - Islem ,our lovely cleaner from room 3107. Hazem, the beach boy who didn't stop all day. Mohammed from the main restaurant who never saw us without a smile and drink. Youseff in the snack bar, always helpful and friendly. Evgeniya from PR who was such a help when we had to move rooms (due to renovations starting) also many thanks for sorting out the yogourt for me! Just a few of the many staff that made this holiday special. So thank you one and all.
Some of the disappointments in this hotel :-
1. More sanitizers in obvious positions as you enter dining areas please.- at bottom of stairs and by lifts. As many of the guests had tummy trouble( myself included). To encourage guests to use these at all meal times would perhaps help the problem.
2. Regular cleaning of the toilets used by the beach and snack bar would be appreciated.
3. Prompt removal of plates from tables at dinner. At one time we had 3 courses piled on table!
Only small points but ones that can give the wrong impression.
If you love the beach and a peaceful holiday this hotel would be for you and we will certainly be back.
Thank you one and all for a most enjoyable holiday.

From the moment we arrived everything was perfect. It was a little piece of heaven. This was the most relaxing holiday we have ever had. The staff were absolutely fabulous. The room was just perfect in every way. The beach was wonderful and the staff were so attentive for your every need. A big thank you to the two guys on the beach bar Especially Bahr. The buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner was perfect and the staff were great again. We had amazing nights in the Italian Restaurant and was very well looked after by Adel & Hamedo. We spent many a night at the outside bar where we were looked after by the best bar man in Hurghada Hosney. Hosney was just amazing and we couldn’t of asked to be looked after any better, also his cocktails were the best we’ve had. We cannot wait to return to Sunrise Romance and see all the staff again that are now our friends.
This was our second visit to this Hotel and to be honest we had a lovely time. We met a lovely couple from Scotland, Elaine and Adrian Duncan and a couple of German holiday makers. We arrived late in the evening, the room we had been issued with was filthy, the blind in the bathroom didn't work and was horrible n filthy. The curtains were ripped to bits and dirty so we returned to the reception to make a complaint. The staff at reception said there was nothing they could fo as no other room available sk had to wait till morning. When we returned in the morning we were again told they had no room do saw the rep and showed him the room so he could take photo's of the blind and curtains and took them to reception to see what he could do. The answer was nothing so we said we would move hotels, they then involved the GM who sorted it out straight away. The room we were given was in the new building and a jacuzzi Seaview room and was beautiful so thank you Mr Shockry (sorry if that isn't how you spell it). The best thing about this hotel are the staff especially those at the beach, Amr and Hosny were definitely the standout pair of barmen in the whole place. Hosny also works in the LOBBY bar (highlighted because nobody uses it) of an evening. The hotel now has 5 a-la-carte restaurant which are very hard to get seats for although the system of booking is great. We ate in all but the sea food restaurant because you have to pay to eat there. The oriental was great as was the Indian, the waiter service in the oriental was great because of Samara. Italian wasn't very good again, the Lebanese was ok but dont see why you have to pay for the sea food as we had paid enough to to actually stay at tge hotel in the first place. Dont get me wrong this review is not to have a go at the hotel as we really enjoyed our stay but there are lots of niggling faults that the customer relations staff (all Russian) were told about and did nothing or didn't have the authority to deal with. One of the big bugbear we had was the beach guys saving bed for guests by putting towels on them because they had slipped them a few pounds. There is a notice saying there will be none of that but they don't see the beach guys doing it. The last day we went down at 7.15am and they had (only on one side of the beach) saved 11 stations for guests, most of the front rows of both sides of the beach had bin saved and only 4 stations were available for beach goers that come down at that time to sunbathe. Some of the stations that the beach guys saved were never used till midday which wasn't fair to those that wanted to use all day. The GM was very approachable so if he had been told something would of been sorted. All in all we had a great time, nice staff, nice hotel lovely beach, sea for snorkeling was amazing but somebody had removed alot of the coral from 3 years ago and alot of the remaining coral is dying because guests are breaking it off and killing it which needs to STOP straight away. Their are lots of fish to watch if you have a mask which are stunning we saw squid, rock fish, cuttlefish which was feeding its young and lots of very colourful fish and it would be a shame to loose all of that just to please guests. We noticed Germans being rude and demanding of the staff which is unacceptable, there needs to be more staff and less management as we noticed lots of managers doing nothing when they could help in the bars or restaurants as the food and beverage manager did by clearing plates in the dining room. Well done to all staff you are doing a great job and the hotel will thrive with you hard work. Thank you for our lovely stay with you.
