I stayed one night at this hotel and wished I spent my money elsewhere. The advertised amenities on google are inaccurate. Also, the pictures of the hotel on the hotel lobby tv were even inaccurate. There wasn’t a covered canopy over the jacuzzi area as the monitor shows. The fitness center is weak, might as well use the space for something else. The steam room was nice, spacious and clean. The hot tub was actually just a cold tub. Not sure what the point of that is or who wants that. They have a super small pool that has bubbles, ok? Skip this place, better options for your money.
The quality of the breakfasts and it’s foul coffee are adequately described in previous reviews. I just want to pass on two warnings about the room itself.
First the air conditioning is prone to gushing out literally pints of water on being switched on after a break. I described this to the Manager and he laughed so I think it’s probably the norm.
Second the bedroom floor is high quality tiles which are kept clean and pleasant. However tiles are very hard. I accidentally smashed the one (cheap) glass in our (double) room as the floor is unforgiving. I spent a long time clearing it up as I’m very aware of the danger of tiny glass shards and wanted to protect both our feet and future guest’s. I made a point of showing the chambermaid and asked her to take care when clearing the bin. When we checked out I was then incredulous at being charged $1500 for said glass. An excessive charge for a dirt cheap glass. I told the manager it was outrageous and intended to mention it on Trip Advisor to which he smiled smugly and pocketed the surcharge. This is an adequate but frankly stingy establishment.
I miss the old Lincoln Hotel when the rates were as low as $79 a night.
They had sport's packages and the management was much better.
Things change, so I imagine it's wise to accept a room now for several hundred dollars.
A special hello to all the old weekly residents who lived there in the 80"s and 90's.
The attentive hotel staff made our stay excellent. They were ready to take care of any needs. They booked us a car to and from the airport which eased our anxiety about the airport being so far outside the city. The room was clean and comfortable with adequate space. The bathroom was nice with a large shower. The wifi in the room and hotel were good. The hotel is on a lively street near bars, restaurants, clubs, a market, and the stadium. The staff made excellent recommendations for restaurants and activities. We easily walked to the metro station which allowed us to explore the entire city. The breakfast area is bright and airy with delicious options and superb service. We felt very welcomed with every employee interaction.A special thank you to Carolina at reception who was so kind and helpful.
This hotel is a great place to stay for tourists. It is located on a great street which is close to many restaurants, bars and clubs. The room was good size and clean, bathroom was small (typical in Colombia). The free breakfast was okay, not buffet style, you order with the restaurant staff (was not a fan of this, would have preferred a buffet option). The hotel staff was nice and helpful, but knows limited English. Overall, a good place to stay for first time visitors to Medellin.
