Nice rooms, quiet street but near to nightmarket and lots of restaurants. You get a fan room for 100.000 kip/night (without private balcony). Good deal, we stayed 3 nights. Stuff is very friendly and relaxed.
Had a great stay at Levady! Nice family and pretty rooms! It'a a wooden house so the rooms are a bit dark because all the wood but looks really authentic! It's clean an the bathroom is nice too.
Quiet street near the night market and restaurants. Laundry also possible.
All the other guesthouses in the street look nice but are also too expensive! Levady is 10.000 kip for a nice room with a fan and bathroom. 120.000 with AC.
Would definitely stray there again next time!
We’re looking for a budget hostel but there is no vacancy in Luang Prabang. Or it is quite expensive as in boutique hotels. Then we find a nice double room with a bathroom and a big terrace overlooking a quiet street in Levady guesthouse. The room is big and clean, the bed comfortable and towels are provided. We can sit on the terrace and have a rest in bamboo armchairs. We’re staying here for two nights. And we really like that place!
It's a bit strange to see how the family that runs the guesthouse live and all that mess in their living room/ reception but... it's their life.
The guesthouse is situated very close to the main street with all travel agencies and restaurants and the night market is close at hand. We eat our meals at street stalls and the food is really delicious.
We also go on two trips- Pak Ou caves and Tat Kuang Si waterfalls, both are great. The next day we go sightseeing in Luang Prabang and visit Wat Xieng Mouan, Wat Choumkong, the Royal Palace, Wat Sene Soukharam and Wat Xieng Thong. On the whole we can say Luang Prabang is a wonderful place to visit.
Arrived at lunch time after travelling 26 hours by bus from Chiang Mai.
The girl I was traveling with had stayed here last year so we came here and checked in with 2 new friends.
Rooms are basic with a fan and a wet room. Fairly clean, and for 80,000kip per night for the room, a fairly good price! And right in town too so right next to the night bazaar.
We stayed at Levady's for 2 nights and it was lovely. The rooms are very simple (Bed, night stand, bathroom, small table) but clean and with a comfortable bed. The family who lives there is very friendly and tries to help you as much as possible eventhough their english is not at it's best! The location is very quiet (the bar next to it starts playing music at 9 am though so if you want to sleep late keep that in mind) and still very central, we did everything by foot.
Be careful when renting a motorbike right next to this place at the main street, we had to pay about 30 USD for "scratches" that weren't there.
All in all a very pleasant stay! We slept in the room downstairs next to the living room of the family which was really nice, we got to talk to the family and saw real lao family life :)
