Excellent location if you can walk the stairs. Cosy and very warm Wellcome! Fanit is super friendly and Nada (daughter) extremely helpfull, friendly and olen. Room is very nice and the wiew from the balcony amazing
We were totally satisfied with our stay here. The location of Villa Benic is excellent. It is only a few hundred yards from the old city. All down hill of course, and up hill all the way back. That is just the way it is. Consider it great exercise.
This is a family run Villa and the family is wonderful. We were having a little difficulty with our visa card and our phone was broken so Nada (the daughter of the owners) came to our room and let us use her phone to call our bank back in Canada to correct the issue. Nada really went out of her way to help and followed that up with some great suggestions for when we left Dubrovnik and went to our next stop which was Sarajevo. Thank you Nada.
Our room was a good size, clean and very comfortable. We had a separate bathroom down the hall and the bathroom was for us only. The bathroom was spacious and spotless. It has a huge tub with a shower.
We found Villa Benic to be good value for the money and would not hesitate to return if in Dubrovnik.
Free parking is available on site if you reserve when booking. That turned out to be a bigger bonus than expected because parking rates in Dubrovnik are incredibly high, even by European standards.
We have no problem recommending Villa Benic to fellow travelers.
Loved the properly. Great views of the town and fort from our large terrace. Very private space. We could leave the French doors open and still be private. The room was a nice size. Sufficient plates etc. for snack meals. Our host was very helpful booking airport transportation and also a lovely boat ride to islands with a great lunch at the boat captain's home. Air conditioning was good. Quiet even though on the road because setback and good windows.
It is only a 10 minute walk to the city gates but it is very steep. If we were younger than 70 and with better knees it wouldn't be a problem. Also it is possible to walk 5 minutes longer down the road with no stairs
From the moment the owner collected us from the airport (cheaper than a taxi) this was a personal vacation experience and that's one of the joys of not staying in a hotel chain. We had the smaller of two rooms but it was still large with two single beds joined as a king (nice because you don't feel your partner move). The bathroom (separate) was also lovely, new and spotless and everything worked well Huge shower). The room also had some special touches like bath robes, a fridge and crockery, tea towel and chopping board etc so it is easy to make your own meals and sit at the small dining table. This is not often found and was much appreciated. You can see the fort and the ocean from the room and it has air con (it can get humid here). Of course the view means you have steps to climb to get home each day but so does everyone here and it's jjst minutes from the old town walls. There is only one bad point, it is on a busy road - useful for catching the bus but it means there is a lot of traffic noise if you open your windows. That said they are double glazed behind shutters so you can easily block it all out and it dissipates at night so sleeping was no issue. You also can't hear your neighbours so the rooms are well insulated. All up, an excellent stay and highly recommended.
I stayed in Villa Benic during my business trip in Dubrovnik. The room was clean and very nice equiped. I also had a big balcony. Staff is very friendly and I got small present. Hope I will be back soon!
