I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough! From start to finish it was perfect! We stayed for a week and celebrated birthday and Christmas at this hotel. All staff went over and above to make us feel welcome and offering help. A special mention to everyone on reception, they were brilliant throughout our stay and helped a lot. Also Hector for always being so friendly and helpful.
The room was spotless and everything was cleaned to a very high standard every day. The whole hotel felt extremely clean and safe.
The breakfast was the best we’ve had! They catered for everyone’s needs and it had a good atmosphere to start the day. They had friendly waitresses and chefs and a very wide variety of food to choose from. The food was fantastic and great quality. The room service food was so tasty. A varied menu and very good quality food brought to the room piping hot.
The location was so central, we walked to the main shopping streets and had the choice of lots of restaurants. It’s close to the main sites and easy for airport access too.
Everything about our stay was perfect and we look forward to returning very soon. Thank you to everyone at New World Beijing, see you soon!
Stayed at New World Beijing hotel for a long weekend and loved it. The location is 15 minutes walking distance to Tiananmen Square and Temple of Heaven. The front desk staff were wonderful from arrival to departure, very friendly especially Phillip who assisted me on numerous occasions. The room was big, clean and comfortable with all amenities expected at a 5 star hotel. Wi-Fi connectivity was excellent and the lunch buffet on the ground floor was also great. The rooftop bar has beautiful views of the city and should definitely be used as a day restaurant and not only night bar. Hector was such a great host, with all the stories of the cocktails and recommendations of ones to have. I love this hotel and would stay here again.
I stay at a lot of hotels around Asia and this hotel was superior in so many ways. The staff gave me an upgrade without asking. The room was beautiful. The pool and sauna areas were extremely well managed and clean. Everything was extremely hygienic. At night in a lot of hotels there's noise and partying. Not at this hotel. No strange people in the lobby. An excellent place for businessmen and couples.
When I arrived I was informed by a very rude member of staff that I had booked the room twice and that I needed to sort this out by calling my travel company (even though I had not booked twice). This ruined the first day of the stay. Overall the staff were not that friendly in the hotel.
Also, the TV in the room was very fussy and the layout of the room with the open plan bathroom was not great.
The swimming pool was nice and the hotel did arrange for me to visit the Great Wall. The location was pretty good as you could walk to most of the key tourist sites.
Overall, I would not recommend this hotel.
We booked a suite at this wonderfully located hotel and boy are we so happy we did it. To begin with, the Front Desk Staff is really fluent in English and highly efficient so we felt really at ease from the get-go.
Every detail in the suite oozed luxury and comfort from the linens, furniture, curtains, beds, 2 washrooms, living room area. This is exactly what we were looking for since we knew we would be spending 12 hours of the day at the hotel.
There's a nearby shopping centre which is located just a 5 minute walk from the hotel.
You can get breakfast at a restaurant located on the ground floor. I would encourage you to go down a bit later than you're probably used to if there are tour groups at the hotel.
Breakfast is abundant, high in quality and taste and will offer both Chinese and Western staples.
All in all, we found the value proposition at this hotel to be pretty good and would book it again whenever we return to Beijing. If there's something that could be improved, that would be internet service.
