Helpful owner, good facilities, heating is also a boon, there was a gas fire in my room, I think they all have them at this hostel, very unusual for La Paz. Central location (near Plaza Murillo), away from lary tourists in the hostal zone near Plaza San Francisco. Recommended.

Our room had heater that worked nicely! This is such rarity amongst hostels and budget hotels, that deserves special commendation. It helps a lot in the winter.

There are two downsides: floors in the room are slippery, and lady serving breakfast has weird and unusually strict rules. For example, you can not take any piece of fruit, but the first one in the basket(?). There is maximum amount of cereal you should put in the tiny bowl, as if it is possible to overload approximately 1dl container (?).

One would expect that she would bring you breakfast on the tray, so that every single guest does not have to listen to her detailed instructions, but this sadly takes up to one hour.

Without that weird breakfast lady, I'd give maximum grade to this place.

Stayed for a week over two separate occasions. Great location with easy walking distance to town. Good, clean ensuite room for our family of three. Staff happy to change our room, and helpful at 3am to get a taxi to the airport!!

+1
The reception staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. I was the only person in the 3 bed dorm with desk and wardrobe so it was like a private room with shared bathroom/ shower. Never any queues. There was even a heater in the room that made for comfort during the cold May nights. The breakfast in the open courtyard was included and sufficient. Good wifi reception and speed in the room. Great coffee! I walked everywhere from here and it was handy to the bus terminal.

Despite the beautiful building, the rooms and poorly maintained. The owners should urgently invest in room renovation, specially renovate the beds, the sheets, the blankets, they are all so old !. We move from one room to another one but the double bed is bad everywhere, my hunsband and me were falling in the middle of the bed the whole night. Really bad. Some rooms are also smelly beacuse of the old matressess. Based on the room prices, I guess, the owners couls afford to make the required investment!
