Typical "Israblof", what is advertised and what you get are very different things, the property was advertised as a one bedroom apartment with lots of very beautiful pictures, the reality is a simple, low-end standard hotel room that has been divided with a wall in the middle of the room make it into a "one bedroom apartment"
The place was small, cramped, dirty, no amenities and to make things worse, the host was rude and obnoxious and had zero empathy or understanding what customer service is.
I am extremely disappointed in this aparthotel.
The self catering aspect is sorely neglected. Only one of the electrical sockets in the cooking area works, so I can use one out of 3 appliances at a time. In addition there is barely enough crockery, and the only cooking utensil? A ladle. No frying pan, no sharp knife of any description, no chopping board, in fact nothing that one would expect to find in order to cater for oneself.
I did ask before I arrived if the kitchen was fully equipped and was assured it was...it certainly is not. 'Just ask for anything you need' I was told in a mail. I would have to ask for all basic equipment, and this SHOULD have been checked in advance of my arrival.
There are no proper reception staff, just a few security people,w ho never smile, never speak and when asked for something ( my lift refused to open at my level so I had to ask for help ), they act like you have no right to disturb them from their extreme lethargy and total boredom.
I had thought from the pics on the site and the name of the place that there would be direct access from the building onto the beach. If you have any kind of mobility difficulty, dont come here. You have to leave the hotel, walk a little down the street then have 4 flights of steps and across a courtyard, down 3 more sets of steps, before you are near the beach.
The beach is lovely, well patrolled by lifeguards from the early hours of the morning, and bathing is very safe in warmish water. There are few waves and only a small tide. There are cafes and places to eat once you have managed to get to the beach level.
I have emailed to ask for information and help as I am struggling with mobility issues and would like to hire a mobility scooter, but it has been 2 days and I have had only a reply stating that 'this booking is now completed'.
I arrived after 6pm in the evening, having called ahead to say when we left the airport building. The only way to access the keysafe for my room key was by sending a pic of my passport via my smartphone to the person who answered the phone. He was totally unprepared to hear that I didnt have a smartphone so was unable to do this. He was uninterested in anything I had to say and had a mild panic about not being able to get this, and didnt seem to understand or appreciate my concerns in any way. Fortunately my friend was able to use his smart phone to comply and the instant this was done the keysafe code was given. I have no idea what would have happened if my friend had not been with me.
All in all, not a positive experience.
We stayed in room 706. The apartment is in poor repair with old furnishings, old fixtures, and the sleep sofa mattress is worn out and stained. The kitchen had cockroaches. The beautiful view was somewhat obscured by filthy windows, and the bathroom also had old fixtures in need of repair. The electrical plug for washer was broken. Overall we found the place to be pretty seedy; in the US this apartment would rate 1 to 2 stars.
