Room was very clean and tidy, had our own private terrace and the whole bottom floor to ourselves. Hosts were very attentive to our needs and offered help wherever possible. Would highly recommend staying here as it is a walking distance to city centre and easy to find.
Hot water was working which is hard to find in Cuba and breakfast was filling and plentiful.
We were taken here from our Intrepid tours which is highly recommended as these stays are guesthouses and you will get a very authentic Cuban experience.
I stayed for 2 nights in October 2016.
The casa locate a few blocks away from Plaza Mayor, but quite at night. Room is very clean and comfortable. Breakfast serving at terrace in front of room is very nice. There are many many casa particular in Trinidad, it's difficult to choice best one, but I was lucky to stay here.
We stayed in this casa for 2 nights and it was nice. The hosts were friendly and rooms were clean. There is a nice terrace in front of the room where we had our breakfast.
House is located near the city center, one or two blocks away. Trinidad is a must see and you have to go out in the evening because then the city really gets alive :)
My wife and I were very happy with our choice of casa mirelis.Clean, comfortable room, good location, warm, helpful hosts and excellent breakfasts.Excellent value for the modest cost of our stay.
I highly recommend Casa Mirelis .
If you like adventure and don't mind roughing it a little, stay in a Casa Particular. If you want luxury and the comforts of home, stay in a hotel. A Casa will cost you $30-35 per night, a hotel will cost you $150-$400 per night. This review is designed for a Casa Particular.
Mirelis is a very nice host. She is friendly and helpful. She doesn't speak much English (I speak Spanish, but my wife does not), but was very helpful in figuring out where to go, where to eat, and how to get around.
Trinidad has a historical center, which is filled with cobblestone streets, beautiful buildings, museums, galleries, and restaurants. Outside of the historical center, you get less nice streets, not very pretty, which are more typically cuban, although not as dirty as Havana. This casa was within a block or two of the historic area. However, we always felt safe, even on the worst streets. Almost everyone is friendly and helpful.
The Casa itself is very nice. We stayed in the downstairs area, which had its own entryway, a kitchen area, aa fridge, and a separate room. The kids stayed in an upstairs room, which had a very nice outside patio area. The A/C worked great. The rooms are clean and comfortable. She had extra blankets and pillows for us. Bring your own soap if you go to Cuba. None of the casas had soap. Mirelis cooked a good breakfast for us every day, and would make us eggs to order. Like every place we stayed, she made way too much food.
We would definitely stay with Mirelis again.
