Modern hotel with well appointed large bedrooms and bathrooms. The hotel is very new so everything was spotless. Great location with easy access to the old town across the bridge and close to restaurants and shopping.
I’ve stayed here for 4nights for a work meeting (taken place in the hotel also). Since I’ve returned I can not recommend this hotel enough to all people I spoke to, and I’m already checking availability to return on a private trip also.
Checking in...exceptional. I’m kicking myself that I forgot the gentleman’s name who checked me in, he was great (although all front desk staff were amazing, including the trainee lady).
The room was maaaasssivee... tasteful decorated with very comfy bed, and the bedding was like a dream too. Did I get great view? Nope. But people have to accept that the building has 4 sides so not all will get the marina view. I loved the room. Huge bathroom, great toiletries, well packed minibar.
The food was out of this world. Presentation, flavour just cannot fault anything I ate! (And god I’m picky) the breakfast was like I landed in heaven, great choices with gorgeous coffee.
Skybar certainly worth the visit, and the prices are more than reasonable.
Meeting facilities. It was spot on. The gentleman who looked after us 01-03.10 deserves a medal. He couldn’t do enough for the guests, always smiling, nothing too much hassle, all amenities kept topped up, all areas cleaned regularly.
Location. Bang on the middle of everything!! Shops, pharmacy, historical centre, marina, tons of restaurants and bars, you name it, all just a couple of minutes away with beautiful surrounding. Airport is a reasonable distance also!
There was only one thing as a criticism, the gentleman who staffed the bar on Sunday the 29th of September urgently needs some customer service training to be able to match his colleagues around the hotel. Arrogance and cockiness specially when being in wrong does not leave a nice aftertaste for guests. Certainly not a great advertisement for the hotel, observed same attitude towards other guests too,
All and all when in Gdansk do not look at any other hotel, come here!!
The hotel is almost brand new. The taxi driver at the station was unaware of it and we were the first customers he had taken to it. Location is the redeveloped end of Granary island. The corner executive room was splendid. Windows on two sides gave views of the marina and the river. A large room with a bathroom that had both walk in shower and a full size bath. All amenities that could be expected. Food was better than in many chain hotels.
Room very nice newly decorated and clean. We stayed for 4 nights paid approx £300 so not bad. The only niggle we had no view there are a few rooms that have a brick wall in front of it. Ours was one the window was also obscured by bird crap!!
The only other problem was on the last day we had their buffet breakfast around £18 each. We paid before leaving. We then went to our room when someone knocked to see if we had checked out. Which was strange thought nothing of it until we checked out they then told us we hadn’t paid for breakfast. Only for me keeping the receipt which was inspected. Very embarrassing and then the receptionist phoned the restaurant to confirm.
This wasn’t handled well.
You can clearly tell that the hotel is newly built, everything still smelled new. Our room (an executive room) was clean and had plenty of natural daylight through large windows. We didn’t try the hotel restaurant but it seemed to have a nice selection of food and drinks. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bed didn’t really suit me and my husband, it was to firm for us, but I’m sure that another guest might find the bed super comfortable all depending on one’s preferences. If you want to live close to the old town of Gdansk this hotel has a prime location on the old granary island.
