The location is great- less than a minute walk from the monastery. This boutique hotel (10 rooms) just opened this year and is a phenomenal concept. There are only 10 rooms - each named after a flower (We stayed in the Elderflower room) The bathroom wallpaper had an elderflower mural. The coasters in the bistro all are flowers -each after a room in the hotel. Many of the rooms - ours included had a fun secret. We did not see our bathroom right away in the room. It was hidden in the wardrobe (Think "Lion, Witch, and Wardrobe". The two outer pieces functioned as a closet and the middle opened into the bathroom - heated floor, towel bar, and gorgeous. The main bathroom in the Bistro was hidden behind a large painting that slid open. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. The owner truly missed no detail in comfort, function and beauty.
I heard about this place from a friend. I wasn’t expecting much, since a lot of the hotels in Krumlov are pretty simple. What a pleasant surprise. I don’t think I have stayed in such an interesting hotel. Each room is uniquely decorated after a local flower, but oddly enough the cabinets and the doors stood out the most. It was like having secret passageways in your room.
The hotel was spotless and the people running to hotel were really hospitable. I will definitely go back when I am in that part of the world.
the rooms are massive and clean well furnished and very comfortable they are tastefully designed and decorated and there are lots of suprise details in the rooms, in our room what looked like a wardrobe door turned out to be the door to the bathroom ,we also had a tv that was hidden into a cabinet which you you operate by remote control making it pop up when you want to see tv, all the rooms have features like this but no two are the same.Breafast is a la carte and Petr and his staff are very helpful and welcoming ,do not be afraid to ask if it is not on the menu if it can be done they will do it, excellent place great value for money and the best service in town, the hotel is perfectly situated in the centre of the town
Wonderful hotel in a beautiful city. My room was spacious (bathtub in the bedroom area) with incredibly conformable beds and pillows. Location is great as it's in the center of Cesky. The owners were hospitable, very communicative and generous in their availability. Also, their breakfast is very good. I would definitely go back!
My reviews are quite long, and extensive, to some they might be to much.
I love traveling and this are things that I would like to know before choosing a hotel.
I hope they will help answer your questions about this particular hotel.
We came to Cesky Krumlov for three days, and although my husband and I had done our homework, we read about it, looked at pictures on the internet, and watched videos about it...
Nothing prepared us for what we saw when we actually arrived, it was surreal as if we were in a Thomas Kinkaid painting, only in real life..nothing you actually see will do justice to its beauty.
I Felt the same exact way when we entered
The Monastery Garden Hotel, the pictures I had seen when booking it didn’t tell half the story..
From the moment we walked in, Kamill the owner greeted us as if we were family..
No comercial bottled water, instead a delicious refreshing glass of iced water infuse with mint leaves and fresh lemon slices.
The site where we booked, didn’t give me a choice of rooms, so Kamille could have given me whichever room she chose, instead she patiently and with such pride showed me four different rooms allowing me to choose.
It was a tough decision because they are all gorgeous and each one of them has something special that makes them unique.
I chose one on the second floor room #2
The one with a “Secret Passage” that opens up to a beautiful green and white clawfoot bathtub, with strong water pressure and plenty of hot water for long luxurious baths.
The bath tub is easy to get in and out even if you are over 50,
other rooms have both, free standing shower and tub, but I fell in love with this one.
The towels are very soft, fluffy and monogrammed, even a black one with “Makeup” monogrammed on it....and yes ladies, it has a brand new hairdryer no need to bring your own.
The bathroom has a single vanity, but there is enough space for all your face creams and beauty items, also there is plenty of space on the window pane for all your your hair products...
The room is huge, it has a Country Chic living room with a beautiful blue velvet sofa, and a lovely red velvet reading chair illuminated by an exquisite crystal chandelier that gives the Country Chic look It’s finishing touch.
The living area also has it’s own big screen tv, but Camill managed to disguise it, making it look like a framed ballet picture that blends perfectly with the decor.
The wall to the living room is an impressive bookshelf, that you would never know opens up to a spacious bedroom.
The bedroom has another sofa, and a bed with an elegant red velvet frame, that is perfect, not to soft nor to hard just the right combination for a a blissful sleep.
The bed is made with very soft cotton sheets, a marvelous cotton dawn comforter, and very comfortable down pillows with just the right support for your head and neck.
At the foot of the bed there is a lovely hope chest, that when you press a control, a big screen TV elegantly slides up automatically.
Both the living area and bedroom have big windows that face a romantic cobbled street, where you can see tourists taking pictures, or enjoying a pizza across the street.
There are wood floors throughout with nice decorative rugs strategically placed for your comfort, instead of the typical hotel carpet. Wi-fi is strong we never encountered a problem with login in or with speed.
As dreamy as all this sound the best part comes in the morning, when you go down for breakfast which is served up to 11:30.
Breakfast is not included in your stay, but this is not a boring hotel breakfast buffet, rather a delicious freshly prepared breakfast made specially for you that tastes just like home.
My overall rating?
I don’t think 5 stars are enough, or even the overrated Boutique Hotel title.
I think it’s a Rare Jewel that a is hard to find, and that you will find it in the heart of Cesky Krumlov.....
There is no elevator, because UNESCO does not allow it, so travel light or request the room on the 1st floor.
If you have are driving cars are not allowed in Cesky Krumlov, only after 3:00 p.m and with a special permit given to you by your hotel the cost is 10.00 euros that can be added to your room charge.
When you arrive look for Parking 2 it’s the closest to the hotel, you can park you car free for 15 minutes enough time to check inn and obtain your car permit...
