Our 4 day stay at Atali Ganga gave us the opportunity to not only stay in great comfort but also experience many fantastic adventure activities. This included river rafting, kayaking, swimming (in Ganga and the resort pool), wall climbing, trekking and most enjoyable of all, commando obstacle course. The team of guides/ trainers were systematic in their approach to ensure safety, while giving us the opportunity to challenge and enjoy ourselves. We even managed to do river yoga. The meals were extravagant with a excellent variety to satisfy all palates. The views from the rooms and other areas of Atali were extra-ordinary (photos shared). The staff were friendly, we felt like we were there visiting family. I was also given the experience of witnessing evening prayers (Arthi) at Rishikesh. Thankyou Atali team for making my holiday a once in a lifetime experience.
I went back to Atali Ganga after about five years--and everything I loved about it the first time around is still as good. The views from every level and most rooms are gorgeous. It is quiet and serene--and one can go around doing hectic river and climbing activities or just sit and chill in the sitout in front of every room or do yoga in one of the lovely little courtyards around the place.
The staff is as warm and friendly and helpful as I remember.
The food is good if not exceptional--but it really does not matter what you are eating when you are sitting out overlooking the hills, a skyful of stars and hearing the rover below!
There are two lovely leather couches in a sunny corner overlooking the river which I particularly recommend for those who would like to sit and laze. And oh to have access to a lovely pool overlooking the hills after two years of pool deprivation!
Courteous staff
Customer oriented as they changed our stay dates with one email to booking office.
Limited Tasty buffet spread with pahadi flavors
Clean and tidy rooms with mountain view
The forest trek to beachvwas an experience to remember
Perfect for people who like to stay active on holidays and explore raw nature
Covid protocols were followed at all timesecluded independent cottage.
No complaints except the pool was not clean
But considering the heavy rains and frequent climate change everything was smooth and this place is so underrated. I highly recommend if you like to spend time together with nature as there is no tv or food in the room service.
Wifi only available in lobby and cafe area or you can use mobile data. (I love this thought of limited access)
Overall i highly recommend this hotel and will surely love to visit again.
Pros:
1) Location wise bang on the highway
2) Courteous staff
Cons:
1) Average food
2) No mineral water in rooms
3) No lifts for disabled access
4) Steps/walkway are not maintained
5) Very limited spread in the buffet
6) No tv/ internet facility
7) Dirty swimming pool
8) No tandoor item available in buffet. The only option for bread was tawa roti.
7) I can go on and on...
