Our 2 night stay at Topiary Haven was heaven. Diana and Barry are generous, friendly, helpful and unobtrusive hosts. They have created a separate apartment/house in their beautiful back garden that is truly 5 star. It is bright, sunny, spotlessly clean and luxuriously appointed - everything is on a grand scale with thoughfulness, care, comfort and amenity of the highest order - a large gourmet kitchen with breakfast bar, lounge room, dining room overlooking the city, enormous bedroom, ensuite, walk in robe and laundry.
Wonderful array of breakfast ingredients as well as fresh herbs, salad greens, home made biscuits, Tasmanian wines (for purchase) and other ingredients to supplement lunch or dinner.
Plenty of tourist information available as well as Diana and Barry's personal recommendations and advice for touring the region and enjoying local restaurants and the like.
A short walk to Cataract Gorge and into the city or take your car or public transport.

Beautiful apartment, luxuriously appointed. Breathtaking gardens, magnificent fully equipped kitchen, our hosts supplied us with bread, eggs, bacon, tomatoes mushrooms, wine, cookies, fresh herbs from the garden - more than everything we could want. Off street parking. Scrupulously clean with plenty of room. The bedroom was so beautiful it took my breath away. Washing machine & dryer - even a sewing kit for emergency repairs. Everything was thoughtfully taken care of by our wonderful hosts. Within walking distance of Launceston and Cataract Gorge. We left reluctantly and still have very fond memories of Topiary Haven.

We love this little treasure just outside the city centre of Launceston.
Diana & Barry were great hosts. The 1 bed room house was well stocked with food & drinks. The bedroom was spacious with a good size walk-in wardrobe, attached toilet and a laundry room (washer and dryer provided).
The gardening works of the hosts added more charm to the place and it was as if you are staying in a secret garden.
There is a IGA supermarket less than 5 min walk. Cataract Gorge is about 5 min drive. Drive to city centre is less than 10 mins. Just at the main road, you can find cafes & eatery and gas kiosks.
This is a place done up with a lot of pride and love. We look forward to coming back to Topiary Haven.

I stayed at Topiary Haven for my wedding night and loved it. The gardens are beautiful and were perfect for photos. It cost around the same price as a hotel room in one of Launceston’s nicer hotels but it offered so much more, it's defiantly great value. The owners are so helpful; nothing was too much trouble, early check in, late check out, no worries at all. The owners are also thoughtful, they got a card, wine and biscuits for my husband and I. Inside is spacious, modern and beautiful decorated. The breakfast hamper hiding in the fridge is a cute touch as well. Close to the cataract gorge and the city centre. If you’re looking for somewhere unique and special to stay in Launceston I would highly recommend Topiary Haven.

We stayed here for 3 days. I would recommend this place to everyone looking for a retreat experience. The accommodation and taste of the owners was exquisite. From the moment you opened the door you were in awe. Local Tasmanian produce was supplied including wonderful breakfast provisions, the best passionfruit short bread biscuits, organic milk and apple juice, jams a coffee machine and loads of coffee and tea selections, yummy breads and a fruit bowl were also supplied. The kitchen was to dream for, the bedroom was amazing, TVs in every room, DVDs, magazines, books, CDs were supplied. We didn't want to leave and truly relaxed.
