The check-in process is just horrendous, so slow and way too many processes for the poor girl who was working alone with 8 people waiting whilst we could all hear other employees out the back of reception talking. Apartments are very nice, could do with an upgrade as televisions in bedrooms couldnt receive most channels as they were too old, lounges were very comfortable though and enjoyed the beds, I would come back but please look at your check-in process and streamline it!
Checking in was problematic. All of my booking information referred to 63 Whiteman Ave. As I got out of the cab in pouring rain and managed to get into the foyer, there was no way to get into the building.
I rang the number I was given with the booking. No answer. I rang again, no answer. Rang again and was directed to the building next door to check in.
Back out in the rain dragging my bags to go next door. Then out in the rain again with my bags to head to the apartment.
The location is great. The apartment has a great view and was of a good size. Well appointed kitchen, dining table, lounge, chair. A TV in the loungue room and another on a desk in the bedroom. Good size bathroom with a washing machine and dryer.
There was an odd odour that was very noticeable upon getting out of the lift and this permeated the room in which I was staying.
Given the location, there is traffic noise.
Will stay here again on next visits great well equipped apartments. We stayed in corner room
26th floor and was fab! Great kitchen and views. Very quiet
Definitely recommend. Easy to get the red bus from airport less than $20. Great location to restaurants etc
The service provided was not great - the gentleman at the front desk was not accommodating at all. Watched as I struggled with 2 bags and carry on - made no effort to open the door. It was not a great start.
The corridor outside our room had a disgusting smell - just like strong sour milk. It was overpowering.
The room was good - plenty of instructions for wifi, tv and air con. Fan was not working in bathroom but apart from that it was pleasant. Would I stay here again? Location was great but the guy in reception put me off - I don’t think so.
It’s very convenient for the casino. Over looks the Yarra and is close to restaurants and DFO. Easy to walk to from the train station.
However on the weekend there are car horns going continuously!! Until at least 3 am. All 8 of us were kept awake by them and we were in different apartments on different floors.
The apartments are fairly small. With no aircon in the bedroom. Tiny bed with bedside tables very close. My husband hit his head and I smashed my arm on one while trying to sleep.
The sun also bores in during the afternoon so it’s like walking into a oven until the aircon starts working in the lounge room but not cooling down the bedroom
There’s an IGA close by
Most things about these apartments are good. Apart from the bruises we got and the lack of sleep over three nights.
The one thing it does have is location
