We had a very hot, uncomfortable night at the formule 1. The lack of air conditioning meant that we found it very difficult to sleep at night.Other budget hotels in the area in a similar price bracket benefit from this and it makes all the difference. Our night was further disturbed by three selfish guests who decided to sit up drinking until gone 1am in the car park..I went down to ask them to move but would have expected hotel staff to ensure they did this. My wife emailed ahead to request a travel cot for our 8 month old baby, we received no reply and on arrival were placed in a room on the second floor, about as far away as you can get from reception, in a building without lifts. No travel cot was provided. There were people coming and going in the downstairs area without masks when we arrived. The room itself was basic but ok, the toilet stank though and there was a dead fly stuck to the ceiling above our bed. Breakfast was good for €4,50. All in all, I would not stay here again. There are far better hotel options in the area for just slightly more money. If you value your sleep, pay the difference!

As a relatively well travelled individual I was stunned at the shocking customer service we received last night at this Hotel. I think I was told three times "it is not my problem". Booked online for one night and stated on reservation we would be arriving after midnight. Arrived at 11 45 after checking in online on the journey. The receptionist was rude, unaccomdating and such an incredibly poor advertisement for F1. We have stayed at a number of F1 hotels and will never now return. With two children in the car asleep we were told that our reservation had been cancelled despite having a print out of that confirmation with details of payment being made. Apparently "an email" had been sent to say that the booking had been cancelled! We then spent an hour driving around trying to find a room at midnight. Be warned .....you might have a printed confirmation but apparently that means nothing.

The plus point of this place is the value. This is cheaper than a youth hostel and I stayed at some HI in France which was not as good as F1. The room was very clean, the lady who ran the hotel was very helpful and gave us the number for a taxi into town. Again a very helpful fellow.

We travelled with kids and the lady was careful to ensure that we were in adjacent rooms to our teenagers. The car park was good and close to auto route for heading to the motorway.

The toilets and showers remind me a little bit of Blake’s Seven meets Glastonbury.....pod like portals with a loo flush that works when you lock the door....elevator music....and erm well the Glasto part ....wear your shoes to the loo!

The only thing to note if travelling with a family there are a few builders and workmen who use the hotel as lodgings they tend to congregate outside smoking and drinking...they seemed pleasant but it’s not such a good environment for young kids.

My family and I stayed here for one night. Rooms have been updated, better than others I had been too. I found the rooms very hot. You could here people moving around and a lot of people not quite when the return or go to the toilet which is not in your room. The shower and toilets are down the corridor. It’s ok for one night as it’s cheep to stay here. Breakfast is good value especially if your like me and need coffee in the morning.

When we arrived it would seem that the booking in machine was not working so we rang a bell and somebody came to the door and booked us in, very straightforward, the gent was polite and pointed us in tHe direction of our room, as we have stayed with the F1 group before we knew what to expect, clean room with a television, my only criticism with this hotel group is that there is not enough power points in the rooms, they also have these shower pods and toilet pods , the shower pods are functional and do the job they are intended for but for some reason they think there is no reason to put hand washing facilities in the toilets, bizarre!!! The breakfast was basic but adequate and we were on our way having had a good nights sleep.
