Friendly & well located place. Basic clean room. Simple breakfast not over priced. We made Good use of the pool. All staff were friendly and suggested places to visit when I asked about driving through the Gorges du Tarn. It is situated on the edge of town but walking distance from the centre. We stayed there 2 nights on our way further down south.

The photos on the site show cabins to sleep in, this is not where you will be staying. Look at the map photo below, and notice the yellowish building behind the main hotel and pool, this is where you will staying. Notice the lack of cover, blind or proper curtain on the window in the further photographs, feeling safe!
Also if you use the map online, you will notice that the Viaduct is behind you and not a view you will see from your room at all. Be warned if you do book and turn up, then decide its not what you thought, the owner will have your money anyway.

This was booked in advance of arriving in Millau.
Driving down from the A75 after a trip over the D999, I was looking forward to staying at the sports hotel, with the stunning views posted on line, then the reality set in as I turned off by McDonalds just south of the town centre and up a short gravel track into a gravel car park.in front of me was sitting a metal clad type of building with some wood chalets on the right, looking down on the little kids type of swimming pool. At the desk there was a very scruffy looking chap, who was very pleasant. After booking in he said the key is in your room, and directed us to the rooms. "Outside, turn left down the side, name Jones on door"
So out of reception and down a gravel path to what can only be described as a small industrial unit looking building detached from the main building like a cheap motel. Metal doors. There was a scrap piece of paper with Jones writen on it. The door was unlocked but on opening it, quite frankly I was horified. It was like an outward bound bunk house room. One small window, no curtains, just a bit of silly net that was too small for the window and the room stank of neat bleach.

Had a quick look on line and found a room at a hotel in the centre of town.

Handed the key in and left. I do Not think the scruff on reception was too happy but that's not my concern. Very low bunk house type accommodation, do not expect hotel standards here. It is a very poor motel standard at best, and the view out of the room window is of waste land and weeds oh and a bit more gravel.

Avoid like the plegue!

Booked the Hericlea as a stopover on the way back to Dieppe. We were advised that we had to check in by 8pm but got delayed! When we eventually got to the hotel late the management had very kindly left a note advising which was our chalet. Realised later that they had tried to call us as well. Very impressed by their curtousy and customer service. The room was basic but very clean, and the bed comfy. Such good value for the money.

Nowbefore i get going please dont expect this to be a boutique hotel but it is amazing value for money.
A basic room with electric shutters. A lovely outdoor pool and a very helpful owner. Breakfast was basic but very cheap. Cant really fault this place as great VFM.!
