The hotel is in a good location. Walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants. The staff was very accommodating and even mailed us back something we forgot in the hotel room. The rooms were simple but clean.
This little hotel is an underrated gem that's worth more than its 1 star suggests. It's very close to the beach and the room is spacious enough for two.
The owners are very kind and helpful, the free WiFi works very well, the breakfast was acceptable, and they have a special offer with Bagno Narcisa that costs just 12€ for an umbrella, 2 chairs and a sun bed. About half of what the other places charge.
The bed was very comfortable and I loved the balcony decorated with flowers.
Some things that could be improved: there was a lot of light in the room at sunrise which woke me up from sleep. A simple solution could be to put thick dark curtains to obscure the light. The white curtains currently present are not sufficient.
We had to ask the owners for a hair dryer. I think this is something basic that has to be placed in every room by default.
There was also a lot of noise, but I dealt with this by putting ear plugs.
These are really just minor issues in what has otherwise been a really great stay.
We had a wonderful week in this hotel, which is only one block from the beach. The room was always clean with towels changed everyday.
The hotel management and staff are great experts of hospitality, which made our stay unforgettable.
You should get half-board to taste their great Tuscan dishes for a good price.
You'll get a friendly price at Bagno Narcisa (a nice beach) if you mention the name of the hotel.
It's a family business run by father and son, Umberto. They are charming people!
We stayed 3 nights in the Hotel 4 Assi in a room on the top floor with A.C. Our suitcases got carried up for us, the staff was VERY friendly and the rooms clean and spacious. The breakfast was great. Less than a five Minutes walk to the beach. For little money we could get a parking ticket to park our rental right on the street of the hotel. it was a great experience and we warmly recommend the hotel.
Although a 1 star hotel, it was the best of 4 hotels we stayed in (the others were 3 and 2 star hotels in Rome and in Florence).
A VERY good service from a polite young man named Umberto. He let us keep our own wine in the hotels wine cooler, gave us very much information about the city etc.
Hotel offers a good traditional Italian breakfast. 4 Assi is a very clean hotel with a tasty interior. Location is also perfect. Offers good value for the money.
4 stars only because we didn't get a room with a balcony (bad luck I guess).
