We stayed at Pardoo for 3 nights. The ablution blocks were spotless. The pool was also a welcome relief from the heat. The area has very large tides & shell collecting was very good. Shame the restaurant is no longer open to the public. They should update that info on their website.
Nice location and being a number of km from the highway is very quiet. Bit disappointed that it wasn’t right on the beach but the private beach access takes you to some beautiful locations within 3kms from camp. Must see the red rocks and mud flats at Red Point on sunset. Just beautiful! Bones beach is 4WD only access very sandy but a beautiful stretch of white sand that you have almost to yourself. Beats Cable Beach hands down! Amenities a bit tired but functional and clean. Small kiosk and pool but adequate.
Took advantage of the pay for 6 stay 7 deal and enjoyed a pleasant week at Pardoo Station.
A big bonus was the appearance of a musician for the week we were there. A “wandering minstrel” it would seem. Steve did a deal with the management and played under the trees near the park store every night between 5 and 8. He was great. Hope we run into him again somewhere.
Pool was good and very refreshing and we enjoyed two swims a day though the pool surrounds are a little old and dirty. Need maintenance.
Toilet and shower blocks in desperate need of renewal. Although cleaned daily they’re just old and tired and so aren’t “inviting”.
Although the website speaks of a restaurant it’s now closed.
Nice Caravan park with friendly staff! Great little shop and nice pool. Lots of grass and shade. Make sure you check out the mud flats at low tide. Great stop would highly recommend to stay a couple of nights.
Travelling for work in a motor home, we wanted to stay somewhere a bit different than the Pardoo roadhouse so tried the Pardoo Station stay. Its 13 kilometres off the highway and its a gravel road, however, the quality of the road is very good and were able to do 80 km/h comfortably.
We arrived after the reception had closed, however, they came and specially let us in which was an easy process, the lady there was very nice. Had plenty of supplies including grog in the recption as well so can stock up if needed.
Swimming pool was great, needed a nice dip after a long day of driving.
The powered site was fine, although there were plenty of free sites they placed three of us together, would have been nicer to have a little more room although wasn't a big deal.
The toilets and showers are fair, a lick of paint wouldnt go astray but all in all, good.
Near the beach, although we didnt go, I would if I had time.
