We spent one night in a hotel in the Saka Manor, which can be said to be a good average place. The room was quite cozy and beautifully furnished but very tiny. There were other necessary furniture items including a decent TV, but, unfortunately, there was no minibar. Instead, it was possible to ask for a refrigeration ice without a reception, but unfortunately it was not enough to cool the big bottle. The bathroom was all that was needed, but it looked rather modest. The tap was using a loud voice, and we heard the same in the neighboring room during the discharge of the water. The double bed was narrower than the average but the size of the two was soft , but the type that felt the companion's every move through the sleep. In the morning we heard through the doors closing the doors, the wooden doors were slightly noisy. The hotel was free to use a small spa with a couple of saunas and a small pool. The lounge was pleasantly hot, the steam room was otherwise pleasant , but excessively dosed aroma oils made the eyes sting. The small pool had the opportunity to sit back and relax on the bubbles. It was very comfortable to wrap in bathrobes and walk straight into the room. In the morning we had a rich breakfast in the small restaurant in the first floor. The food and taste were good, the coffee was very decent.
The nature is very beautiful around the manor, in the evening we rushed to the old tower and enjoyed the sunset at sea. In the morning we also made a small hike down the high steps down the sea, there is a beautiful nature. It is also very pleasant to walk in the manor park in the shade of old trees.
We stayed quite pleased with our visit, only the receptionists would like more smiles!
We have stayed 1 night and visited SPA also. It is very small SPA with two sauna and Jakuzzi. It is nice , but really small. But service is high quality and personal is good.
The room was with double bed and not too big, i am not sure where they can put extra bed, if need. But may be others rooms are bigger. Breakfast was good enough, but standart for Europe.
First of all, better spend more 20-30 euros and pick up big room in main building. Those medium sized rooms actually are very narrow, small, low ceilings and a bit gloomy. Maybe with sea view are good and only if you stay alone, not 2 or more people. There is no fan and refrigerator in the room -- be aware. Bed lining is changed every 5 days, towels every day even if not dropped on the floor.
Second, very thin walls, so good night rest is very doubtful. Especially if arrive noisy chatty neighbours. Pray they are not getting drunk all night.
Third, book in advance spa and other facilities, and best time is from 10 AM. At Spa always check cleanness of small foot-pool. Whole week I've stayed -- it was full of dead cells.
At pool and jacuzzi don't expect it to be warm as promised. 20-22 is maximum and actually felt really uncomfortable with a child in whole spa. Sometimes it wasn't very clean: some sand on the floor, beer cans left at jacuzzi for 2 days, slippery wet floors, hair in the water. SO: if weather allows you, always go to the beach (yes, high stairs, but it's 100% worth it).
Finally, hostess and receptionist girls, spa managers are not so chatty and smiling. Be prepared and don't make a big complaint of it. I got used to it in a week. I think personnel just needs a good rest.
Breakfast at main building: rich, tasty enough, a lot of fresh cheese-ham-sausage-scrambled eggs-porridge. Coffee and tea selection satisfactory.
Dining at restaurant in older part of the Manor: great, I would prefer to get my breakfast there, but they open only at 12 AM. Moderate menu selection, a lot of meals deserve your attention (Beef, duck salad and grilled duck, corn chicken).Great service there!
Location, sea views, children playground, camping possibilities, free parking, almost private beach, free internet at room -- all you need to spend a good weekend or max 3 days.
Comes right up to the mark again. Nice to visit in the summertime when the grounds are at their best. The restaurant had a function on tonite so I was taken to the "other smaller restaurant room". Very nice and the food was as good as ever n
We stayed at the manor house, which is really cool in terms of historic value. Room was OK, the place is quiet, but lacks luxury what you would expect from a manor. The restaurant had great service and great tasting food, but the Spa is not worth the visit. Water was cold (although the temperature was supposed to be 30 C), also there is not that much to do there. The jacuzzi is more like a fountain. They told us it is a "mini-Spa" but still, below average.
The area is lovely tho, and great to walk around and check out the sea and nature, on their trial, which is a 10 minute round walk.
