We had good full body massages at the spa and enjoyed the sauna and steam room.
I would recommend for a relaxing weekend, the staff at the hotel were very attentive, even as we asked to change rooms because we didn't want to be so close to the main room as there was a wedding.
Got off to a bad start when check-in was from 2pm but my room wasn't ready until 5pm, with no explanation or apology offered.
The room itself was a bit lacking in amenities (no tissues) and the dark brown decor made it a bit depressing. The bedroom window wouldn't stay open until I wedged it with the only cushion in the room. When the room was serviced, there was still dust on the floor and the teabags weren't replaced. A little thing admittedly but little annoyances add up.
In the bathroom there was only some hair & body wash in a pump bottle attached to the wall with no conditioner, body lotion or hand soap as I would have expected from a spa hotel.
The staff were not very friendly and thre weren't enough - for example, only 1 person at reception at 11am (checkout time) so there was a queue of 4 people waiting to settle bills and leave.
The food was very disappointing, particularly as friends had said it was amazing 2 years ago but even they admitted it had gone downhill.
The whole place feels a little unfinished (unfenced playground, lots of sand, patchy grass) and as if it had just opened.
On the plus side, the pool is fantastic and the whole place could be great if it was polished up.
Restaurant serves decent dishes, vegan options are phenomenal. Great breakfast choices although dishes to order available.
Not the best beer choice at the bar - just 3 bottled brand available.
Room had very simple decor but contained everything you might need.
Ok, so having checkt in to be told wed get a king size bed we came to the room, which was ok, clean with a nice bathroom but to a double bed theyd found at the local tip! So uneven and uncomfortable with 1 massive pillow and only towels for for one even though i was with my girlfriend. I eventually got another smaller pillow and towels from reception but to be told this was the only 'kingsize room' so we couldnt move.
F wish we could have!
You can hear people coming past the door and every night there was a wedding of the 3 nights we stayed there with music blaring every night till after 12!
To top it off there were work men drilling from 7:30 in the mornin on the extension down the corridor. The food was ok but Ive never been so glad to get back to my own bed at home.
