For the money, I can't fault it. The shower was bit rubbish, the room was clean though and the bed was comfy. Overall, I couldn't grumble for 30 quid a night with off road parking, free WiFi and breakfast included, it does what it says on the tin.

We had a wedding to go to in Newcastle upon Tyne. We did not want to stay on Newcastle, so we chose this one. It is very shabby chic. A beautiful wood panelled hotel which is now getting very tired. We had a lovely room on the first floor. Kash was very welcoming and friendly. He sat a talked to us of a couple of hours. Breakfast was superb. Cereal, toast and a cooked breakfast. All included in the price. For what we wanted - somewhere to sleep - it was adequate. I would recommend this hotel, especially if you have a bus pass. Buses are very frequent into Newcastle.

The hotel itself is pretty dated although the nautical theme is interesting, the rooms are fairly spacious with a small en-suite. The beds aren’t the biggest and being 6’3 I found my feet resting on the wooden board at the end of the bed, it wasn’t the comfiest bed but did the job, I’d recommend bringing an extra pillow as my follows were almost non existent, the shower took a while to warm up but was ok once going, there was no handle on the inside of the shower door so I couldn’t shut it properly. Breakfast served in the morning toast, cereal, full English, tea, coffee and orange juice which was good. Good value for money although would probably look elsewhere if I came again.
