We wanted a completely relaxing break after a busy and stressful year. We chose a city because we like to walk about to explore and visit different cafes, bars and restaurants. The hotel is beautifully decorated and with the mature avocado trees in the garden by the pool it really is a relaxing haven and you feel removed from the hustle and bustle of the city. However the action is close by if you want it. The old town is about 10 minutes walk and the Viennese harbour about 20 min away with hundreds of bars and restaurants to sit and watch the world go by. The hotel staff could not have been kinder and did everything to ensure we had a perfect stay. Breakfast in the garden was a joy each morning with hot food cooked to order, fresh fruit, Yogurt (Greek of course) , choice of coffees teas and juices all brought to you.
The bedroom (room 201) had a private terrace and was very well equipped with complimentary locally produced olive oil based toiletries. They were divine. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. We have stayed in many good hotels around the world but this one really was special.
My friend and I stayed there for 3 nights and we loved it! All the details in this hotel are well thought out: a nice garden with huge avocado & lemon trees, lovely flowers, beautifully designed rooms, cozy area by the swimming pool, nice breakfast at your terrace... the staff is very attentive, they are there to make sure you have a good time!
The only downside was that the walls are not very thick, so it might be noisy, but then we were offered a room without any neighbors, so that was perfect!
My mum and I stayed here for 5 nights and couldn't have asked for better. When I booked it I thought it looked too good to be true - turns out it really is perfect! The decor is clean, fresh and modern. Our room was spacious and comfortable with it's own little patio area, which is where we were served our delicious and plentiful breakfast, in the pretty garden by the pool. The pool is great for a cooling dip and we enjoyed relaxing there in the sun. Coffee, water and toiletries are replenished every day in the room, and they even managed to find an adaptor plug for us. The staff were wonderful - friendly and helpful - from booking to even after our stay. And finally the location was spot on for us too - just a 15-minute walk to the old town, a short transfer to/from the airport, and with a few nice local restaurants and bars just down the road. We had such an amazing holiday, thanks in no small part to staying at this fabulous hotel. We think it is really is good value for the service. Thoroughly recommended and hope to go back myself one day!
We loved this hotel. You feel the quality of the room, the breakfast is very very good in the garden in front of the swimming pool. Staff is very welcoming, the place is quiet and the location is good. Thank you!
It’s *almost* against my better judgement than I write this, as I fear I’ll never be able to get a room again once people catch on to the Epavli! We stayed here only one night, after our AirBnb on the coast was broken into and we needed a last minute place to stay. The staff was so gracious and made even a brief visit under duress into a delightful and relaxing stay. The rooms are stunning, as are all the facilities- it feels more like staying at a very sophisticated friend’s home than a hotel. Breakfast is prepared special every morning in a garden by the pool. I wish we could have stayed longer, as I’m sure this would be a beautiful home base for any stay in Chania.
