Third time here and by far the best. The room was the one I had asked for. It is more of a suite than a room. It was immaculately clean and neat. Little touches like chocolates, sweets and fruit ensure a good feeling. There is a mini bar at reasonable prices and air conditioning/heating. The heating was very welcome on this trip.
Breakfasts are basic continental but plenty of food and some wonderful local cheeses. All tastes seem to be catered for.
It is coming to the end of my time to stay here as I have finished the process of buying my own house nearby so will no longer need to stay here but I need to be there one more time soon and look forward to the visit. I have not found a nicer place to stay in Castelo Branco.

I was very surprised by this place. Castelo Branco is not what could be called a tourist hotspot, so I was not expecting much from this hotel made out of a large converted house.

But I was very surprised by how plush the room was, and surprised to find a bowl of fruit in the room along with two bottles of water, plus endless tea and coffee in the kitchen. Every other place I have stayed in recently in Castelo Branco offers a bed and two towels if you're lucky.

Breakfast is a help yourself job in the large kitchen with a selection of the normal things for a buffet style breakfast.

My only moan would be that if you get a noisy guest in the place you know all about it. Because of the way these places are built, sound travels around the place with a force.

But other than that, nicely done. And very good WiFi for free which was super useful as I had a big pile of online jobs to do when I was there.

Room Tip: Don't pay extra for a garden view. It ain't much of a garden. Think more expanded patio...

+1
We got a nice big room, with tv, fireplace, big balcony, big bathroom. Everything was clean, modern and comfortable. Lots of pillows.
Breakfast was included and there were things to choose from for vegans as well.

This hostel was a nice suprise. Beautiful room, good location and a friendly staff. The breakfast is just what you need to get started in the morning. We could not ask for more. I have no problems with recommanding it.
