It is also conveniently located closely to a gas station and serves a good buffet breakfast in the morning with fresh made omelets.

I booked this hotel because it was conveniently located near the office and train station. The room was good and had a spacious bathroom. The staff was really friendly, helpful and I had a nice chat with them.

friendly staff, room was spacious, no coffee in the room but as we were on the 5th floor I couldn't be bothered to get some so we used our own. Ample parking.Good bar although it took ages to be served. Breakfast is why i didn't give 5. We were down in plenty of time and ordered the omelette only to told that they had run out of tomatoes (with 1.5 hrs left of service), not a great choice on the buffet either. I have stayed in many Dutch hotels and this breakfast offer was the worst ever. Probably a one off and not life & death.

Arrived in Breda, looking for a place to eat and overnight on a recent road trip through The Netherlands. The hotel is just off the highway, coming from the north. On arrival, we were pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of staff and quick check in. The room was perfect with an amazing print of the Breda city skyline and a lovely view of the many hydrangeas in full bloom in the carpark garden. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant. A pleasant stay overall.

The Bastion is not a luxury grade hotel but the level of service and the provision of facilities were more than adequate - and all at a good price. The room was very clean, facilities all worked and breakfast offered plenty of variety. The staff were excellent (all spoke English) and looked after me and my touring sports team colleagues very well - arranging taxis, local information and advice on the local music festival that was being run in the centre of Breda Old Town. We have been visiting for several years to attend the same sports tournament and each time the Bastion Hotel and its staff have looked after us well.
