My brother and I stayed here for a couple of nights during our trip. I cannot emphasize how amazing this place is. The room, the grounds, the location the staff, everything. Be sure to make a trip to their country club - one of the most memorable days of our entire holiday. Special shoutout to Nacho who helped make our stay incredible - from designing a hike for us to go on, to making room for us to go to the country club. We're sad we didn't get to say goodbye!
We visited Can Faustino for one night to join some friends who where staying there. The first thing to note is that if you are driving, there is no car park and you will need to park on the pavement outside the hotel to unload your luggage, and then park your car elsewhere. We unfortunately followed the sat nav and ended up in the narrow lanes ..thankfully we had a smart car!
The gardens and public areas are lovely, and the lunch that we had in the garden restaurant was superb. Our room was overlooking the garden and had views over the sea to Majorca. It was perfectly adequate with a large comfortable bed, and well equipped bathroom with both bath and walking shower. The only complaint would have been that there are no bedside tables, so no where to put your book or a glass of water.
We had a lovely massage in the spa, which was really well equipped and enjoyed an afternoon sitting by the pool, although in summer I should imagine that this area would be crowded.
Breakfast was good, with a wide selection of buffet items and a menu of items to be cooked to order. The service was a bit sporadic.
On leaving, the only issue is that you have to go and find your car to return to the hotel to get your luggage.
When a hotel is announced as a Relais Chateaux and its prices correspond to a luxury hotel, its guests necessarily should expect an impecable service to the standards of such a selective hotel category. It has been dissapointing to find out that this is not the case in Can Faustino. Our room was small and shaby and the 2month baby sleeping next door constantly interrupted our rest at night. Unfortunately the hotel did not bother to offer any alternative solution. Menorca is a beautiful island but Can Faustino's average rate in high season of 400-600 euros/night is definitively not worth. You might do well skiping it and staying in one of the beautiful small boutique hotels in the area who offer an incomparable service at a more reasonable cost.

You’d need a constellation to star rate this hotel...friendly, expert staff, glorious breakfasts, comfortable and stylish room... Can Faustino is a former palace and as a guest you do feel like royalty.
I had booked specifically because I wanted to go to the Fiesta (I suspect the reviewer who said it was noisy at the end of June was there during Fiesta!!) which was everything I hoped for and more. Can Faustino’s back door opens on to the road above the place where the Jocs take place, so it is ideal, and for non-fiesta stays, you are right at the heart of this beautiful old city, with its mellow fortified walls and cobbled alleyways, lined with elegant shops.
There is an extraordinary indoor pool in the crypt, and outside a lovely open air one with loungers and chairs - the water was lovely and warm! Also a weeny little one for guests in the adjacent Villa which has been cleverly absorbed into the hotel. The Villa also has its own little terrace - a real little oasis of quiet and calm ...
Breakfast buffet offered local specialities alongside traditional delicacies - smoked salmon, local ham, cheeses, fruit, cava, juices and notably the most incredible locally baked bread - it is attention to detail that sets Can Faustino apart. At lunchtime and evening, the restaurant focuses on predominantly locally grown and sourced ingredients, Menorca’s land and seascape providing ample variety and stunning quality. All the staff were delightful, from the long-serving to the most recent recruit (though I ever would have guessed, so polished and professional was he). Their selection process is effective for sure - building a team like this is a neat trick to pull off.
Don’t miss a massage in the spa - I had booked as an insurance policy against suffering after riding! Not having been on a horse for a couple of years, going riding for nearly three hours was a bit risky (!) but when I got back I went straight to the pool and hamam room, and next morning felt fine... but oh the massage was fabulous! A very worthwhile indulgence...
Put simply, I came for Fiesta but I shall return for the hotel . Thanks to all who looked after me so royally.
We had a wonderful stay here with a group of friends. Only one of 5 couples had a crappy room. It was small and disjointed. Ours was roomy, well appointed and comfy. Had a excellent bed and pillows. Quiet and cozy place. Very nice breakfast buffet. Nice courtyard for dining and evening drinks. Would return.
