Please be aware that this place is a total self catering holiday, if you are not prepared for this then it has obviously come as a shock for some.
The area was not for us, as we like to walk round and this area was very residencial, would have preferred a promenade, the complex was good and the rooms basic but serviceable for us we only use them to sleep in, the pool area was clean and always plenty of sunbeds, we sat in the same place all week, right outside our room.
We bought our first round in the pool bar paid a refundable euro for the glasses and then bought beer from the shop, as we were pool side it was no trouble popping back to the room for drinks and snacks, we ate there once and it wasnt great and they could do with sone evening entertainment, but Jimmys is great and there are several play parks with restaurants so kiddies are catered for.
I would recommend this place, even though we may not return, but that is no reflection on the complex, just the resort was not busy enough for us.

We had a fantastic holiday at Vista Picas, We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment with our 2 children, the apartment was lovely, really spacious and spotlessly clean, we had a huge balcony that was really private, There was a few ants in the room, but this is normal for Spain in summer, we just bought a can of ant spray from the shop across the road for 3 Euros and problem solved. The pool area was gorgeous again very clean and well maintained and always plenty of sunbeds even though we were there in the middle of summer. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, the food in the poolside bar was really nice and they had a large selection. We really enjoyed our holiday here and can definitely recommend this place.

Not sure what people find to complain about here. Great staff in reception. Any problems we've had have been dealt with within an hour, like ants being sprayed. If you have any concern just speak to reception and it'll be sorted, don't complain on here afterwards. Apartments are very clean and spacious. King size bed very comfortable. Maid service every 2 to 3 days. Danny on the bar is great. Food good if you eat in and reasonably priced. Restaurant and bar area lacking in atmosphere and chairs hard! Pool very good for number of guests and very clean. Again sunbeds hard. Better for couples than families I'd think. If we came back to calan forcat I'd definitely stay here. Close to things and no real noise nuisance despite what some say.

Visited here as two couples earlier this month arriving after reception was closed. Our apartments were left unlocked for us.Accomodation was really fine. We were about two blocks from Jimmy Hill's and yes it was noisy and yes there was music blaring at 2, 3 and 4 in the morning. But we knew there was a possiblitly of this prior to booking, so was to be expected. The apartment was really ok, a little dated perhaps. A large bedroom with plenty of storage. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen area had all we needed except no freezer section in the fridge. Contrary to other reports, washing up liquid, Scourer and cloths were provided.The shower pressure was poor. (compared to our companion's apartment next door). The apartment was clean and provided all we needed for a comfortable week. (other than a hairdryer and air con). The lack of air con was only a slight issue on a couple of nights, however we had taken a fan with us which did help. Although it was still 30 degrees in the bedroom.
The complex facilities were ok too. Nice pool and plenty of sunbeds and only a five minute walk to plenty of nice restaurants, bars and small beach. All staff were polite, friendly and helpful.
Overall a nice complex, just let down mainly by the lack of Air con,

The rooms that face the pool are so quiet, walking past them of an evening you can just hear the crickets.
If like us you have a room that faces the other way and overlooks a large restaurant and play area then please don't expect any sleep.
The inflatables were blown up at 5.30 every morning and the Irish bar has karaoke until gone 3am.
It is so loud and with no air con you just can't sleep with the doors closed.
We did ask for a change of room but staff weren't at all helpful and were rather rude.
Lovely pool area, nice and spacious and could always get a sunbed although these are so uncomfortable, back breaking and the oldest of ever seen.
Everything here just seems old and the place does need money spent on it.
Lots of ants all food had to be kept in the fridge.
Towels supplied were tiny and thread bare. Changed once in a week.
If you travel with Tui don't expect to see a rep and the coach transfer was said to be 75 minutes. Took us 2hrs same as the flight.
Wouldn't stay here again and certainly wouldn't recommend it unless it's an absolute bargain and a pool room is guaranteed.

supermarket opposite side of road from apartments(asda) yes inflatables are allowed.shopping best in cuitadella bus stop outside apts 1-60 euros.waterpark 5 minute walk away but never used it

Hi, there are very few 2 bedroomed apartments and in July they are likely to be fully booked so doubt if you would be able to upgrade on arrival. However, you might be able to do so now if they are not already booked. We've stayed in 3 different 2 bed apartments and none of them faced the pool.
