We only stayed for one night sadly. Magnificent chateau with delightful host. The price included 2 bedrooms, each with double bed. We both said it was the best night’s sleep we had on whole holiday. Huge airy bedrooms, impressive large bathroom, shower room. Excellent breakfast, huge grounds with swimming pool. The upkeep must be massive and there are still things to do, but we highly recommend it and you certainly won’t forget it - in a good way.
We stayed for two nights in a suite - three of us sharing. It was spacious, clean, full of character, we felt like we were in another world ! Breakfast was included and was typical french, fresh and perfect for us.
The manager helped us book bikes to rent, advised us on restaurants and on our cycling route and on what sights to not miss out on. He was really friendly and helpful.
We loved Chateau Bouvet Ladubay !
Superb two nights stay in Agathe suite.
Outstanding hospitality from the owner in this beautiful Château which dates back to the end of the 19th century.
We had our own splendid private conservatory for drinks and coffee!
Easy to visit both local and wider area and excellent recommendations for places to visit and evening dining.
Lovely continental breakfast provided in elegant dining room.
Go and enjoy, it’s a heavenly treat!
We turned up around 330, unfortunately the gate doesn't open until 4. I do think this could be made a little clearer upon booking as we would of planned our day differently.
The Chateau is located in a residential area a 30/40 min walk out of the town of Saumur.
Our room was beautifully decorated and the bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was also tasty.
My husband and I stayed here for our second French stop on our 4th driving holiday. When we arrived I gasped not believing we were staying in such a beautiful place.
A historic building steeped in character with an ancient orangery, inviting us in with its beautiful external stairs.
Our room was Saphir a spacious room with traditional decor, large windows with shutters and a huge bathroom complete with a massage shower.
We were welcomed by the owner and he was extremely friendly even to the point of booking a restaurant for us.
We visited the Bouvet LaDubay caves for a wine tour and on our return from a delicious meal, we purchased a bottle to consume in our room.
Breakfast was typically french with delicious fresh bread and jams and the exquisite dining room next to the orangery was the perfect place to exchange our anniversary cards.
The hotel is well located approx half an hours walk for a lovely town with so much to do.
We would definitely recommend this hotel.
