Easy access from/to the motorway. Welcoming and helpful reception. Tasty breakfast in a comfortable setting. We were upgraded from a standard room to a bigger room with a sofa. We appreciated the extra space. Unfortunately, the sofa was not holding up very well, and there were some questionnable choices for the room decor and accessories (e.g. unstable floor lamps)
Location not ideal if wanting to visit Toulouse centre easily, but convenient for motorway network and getting to other places around Toulouse. However this lovely hotel is well run, tastefully decorated and with a team who are friendly, helpful and efficient. We had a good size room with good size bathroom (walk in shower). Breakfast was well presented and to the standard one expects of Ibis hotels. They do provide evening meals, but we think the menu looked limited (we did not use) but saw a couple who did have a meal and they seemed happy with the food.
I found the information on the Accor site about this hotel to be misleading, it mentions the nearest Metro station - La Vache, which would suggest that it is easily accessible from it, the reality is a 2km walk part of which is along roads with limited pavements. I feel that the hotel should have made this much clearer.Checking in to the room as like walking in to a sauna. The thermostat was showing 25 degrees and when I switched on the a/c to cool the room down it just got hotter. Having asked at the Reception they told me that the a/c was no longer working and that all units had been changed to heating, this despite the 24 degree exterior temperature. They said that the system only allowed either a/c or heating throughout the hotel. No consideration given to people who like a cool bedroom. Reception suggested opening the window but two drawbacks to this. The hotel overlooks a motorway so considerable traffic noise and judging from the insects already in the room and open window would have added to the number. As a consequence ended up trying to sleep on top of the bed to try and stay cool. So not a good night. The breakfast service in the hotel was very acceptable.
We had a family room for four with one king size bed and one very large sofa bed. Both beds were most comfortable and I think the room was airconditioned as it was a perfect temperature (and the weather outside was very hot..high 30s by day). We all slept extremely well. I also liked the blue décor in the room. The bathroom was also excellent with a very good shower and a bath. We have stayed in a lot of Novotels and Ibis Styles and this was one of the best Accor hotels we've been to. The breakfast buffet was good. The lady at reception was extremely kind and helpful when one of our children was not well. She also told us how to reach the centre of Toulouse for sightseeing. The best way is to drive a short distance to La Vache metro station and take the metro from there. Alternatively there is the 59 bus to the metro station (bus stop five mins walk the other side of the A20 motorway flyover) but the 59 bus is only hourly on Saturdays. The hotel has a secure carpark with plenty of spaces. The hotel is near the motorway ie. not in a scenic spot but we chose to stay there for the secure carpark and convenience for our onward journey. Some of the more central accor hotels in Toulouse do not appear to have their own carparks.
Need I say more! Perfect place for overnight stop 'en route'; way out of town centre but no problem for us. Booked a Std Dble a couple of days ahead & had a cosy room with colourful modern décor as is Ibis Styles' style.
Room had excellent sound-proofing & quiet aircon. Bed was very comfortable plus a choice of pillows - all made for good quality sleep. Fab shower etc. Everything was clean.
Very helpful & patient desk staff in both English & French! Complimentary help-yourself afternoon coffee & croissant / pain-au-chocolate on arrival (or anytime) was most welcome after long drive. Well-lit walk to a few restaurants - even a KFC nearby!
Excellent buffet continental breakfast included in great value rate with DIY espresso machine for coffee and fresh orange juice - better '"pet déj" than some 4-star hotels!
Small-ish 16 square metres room, but excellent value all the same. Everything as expected for a good Ibis Styles.
