This property is as close as you can get to the old town without being in it. Just across the bridge, 5 minutes walk, and a nice renovated home with secure parking. I emailed the host in advance since I was going to be there before she would arrive, and she gave me the code to the gate, so we could come in, unload (she left the key to our room on the table for us) and go off to enjoy the town. Our room had everything we might want and was in the rear of the house, so we had no road noise at all. Breakfast was plenty of options. And the host gave many suggestions of where to be sure to go in town including restaurants. Note that the hosts do not live onsite, but I found them responsive to texts or emails any time I had a question or wanted something.

Stayed here just 1 night on our way south but always wanted to visit Amboise. Not disappointed in both, our room with private terrace was large and importantly quiet. Excellent choice at breakfast especially if you like pastries. You have to serve yourself everything including coffee but a bean to coffee machine serves up a good cup. No evening meal available but a very good choice of restaurants over the bridge into Amboise about 10 minutes walk away. The Château is well worth a visit, a steep incline to the entrance to pay but once there plenty of places to sit and take in some shade. Be aware regarding the 5.00pm check in, we requested direct an earlier time and was most grateful the host could accommodate us.
Would defiantly stay again as secure gated parking was a bonus.

The room was large, comfortable and quiet. We had the room in the back on the first floor with a balcony which was fairly private. The breakfast was amazing. One morning we had crepes and another morning we had fried egg IN ADDITION to the incredible mix of croissants and other breads and pastries. We were running out of clean clothes and when we asked directions to a laundromat to wash clothes she took them and washed them herself. They recommended good restaurants and were very helpful. The location was an easy walk to the center of town via the bridge over the river.

Excellent location in walking distance from the centre of Amboise. River view is across a road and the traffic can be heard, but double glazing keeps the noise level down.

Huge room, nice shower room, great breakfast, good service and free parking. We would stay here again.

First impressions on driving up were not great but once inside it is really nice. Car parking is free and gated. Our room was large with a nice ensure and decorated very nicely. We also had a private balcony. Our room was called Charles VIII and away from any noise. It's a 7 minute walk over the bridge to all the main attractions of Amboise. The 2 women who run it are so helpful and friendly. I would recommend this B&B
