the service was very good. the owner of the property is checking himself that all works well
the gardens of the property are really beautifull, neatly maintained
the hotel has a main building, separate pavillions and towers. all the complex has an atonishingly attractive art decó decoration. the common areas, same at the main building as at the pavillions near the swimming pool are as charming as a guest will hardly find in other hotels
my room was in one of the towers. the size was sufficient. the bed was good. the free wifi was very good. there was sufficient storage space for the luggage. the minibar had sufficient choice. the tv had a good channels selection with french, spanish and international network. the bathroom was very well equippped. the jacuzzi was appreciated. i missed a coffee maker in the room. lightning and soundproofing were good
i did not use use neither the climatized swimming pool nor the spa facilities
the restaurant was excellent and we enjoyed a great dinner
easy parking space is offered for free
breakfast was not a buffet, but a choice from several items in a list, which was ok, but was the weak part of my stay. the pastries selection was unsufficient
not cheap, but not too expensive considering the standards of the hotel. i consider that the value for money was very good
i would have rated this hotel with 5* if i had found a coffee maker in the room and breakfast had been better
this hotel is recommended. i would most probably return to this hotel when staying in saint jean de luz

This is a super hotel with the luxury of gardens and an outdoor pool yet close to the beach and the centre of town. The only thing we missed was tea and coffee service in the room. The staff were extremely nice and helpful, with good English, and the restaurant is top class albeit very expensive, especially the wines, compared with what you pay for a good restaurant in the town. Would highly recommend although I agree with some of the other comments about housekeeping as we had toiletries that had already been opened/used and they weren't always topped up.

Beautiful property and very large and comfortable room. The staff are really friendly and extremely helpful, always seeking to please. But the service of the room was terrible, each and every day there was something wrong (lack of soap, forgot towels or towels too small, taking the robe but not replacing them, etc). They really need to put attention to this aspect, I would have given 5 stars otherwise.

Lovely gardens, small gym and pool. We had a suite in the grounds so plenty of room. Staff really friendly but I would say housekeeping let them down, we only got water 2 days out of 7, soap was not replaced at all (going soggy), towels often hit and miss. Out of four visits to the gym only once was water replaced. I had a lovely massage in the relaxing area. Lunch by the pool is quite formal it’s a shame you cannot get snacks too I think that would encourage more people. The weather was very wet for four days but at the end of our stay we were able to get a lovely bottle of wine on the terrace one evening. Breakfast is ok, E24 each eggs, same fruit salad every day, breads and yogurt - we didn’t find it a wow (smoked salmon would have been a nice addition). I have reviewed the restaurant separately but we loved it. The owner will say hello personally at lunch or dinner but he will say the same thing to you each time “English? My English is poor, enjoy” then off he goes to the French people. All in all a great hotel but could be better I missed things like a daily news letter telling me tomorrow’s weather and what was going on or indeed to sell the restaurant they could have told us the specials coming up.

Lovely room in the main house, but a very tight fit for two people. Comfortable beds, but no comfortable seating. Park like setting would be nice with good weather. Excellent breakfast with fresh fruit and cereal. A 20 minute walk into the old town. Management was very friendly and helpful.

In answer to your question breakfast or coffee is not included in your room rate.
The English breakfast is extra for 24 Euros and the Light breakfast is extra for 13 Euros.
